The Daily Prophet has recently decided to report on the weather as a large feature, and here is the first of them all. Our editor does hope you do not hate it.

Monday, 1st June 1885
The sun in Hogsmeade will rise at 3:29am. It will set at at 9:02pm. This will mean a seventeen hour and thirty three minute long day. The weather will be dry and partly cloudy, although will be mostly fine. The temperature will be slightly lower than the one in London, finding its maximum at 60 degrees.

In London, the sun will rise at the later time of 3:49am, and in turn in the sun will set at the earlier time of 8:08pm. Which means the day in London is over an hour shorter than the one in Hogsmeade. The weather will be dry and fine, with the max temperature of 63 degrees.

Tuesday, 2nd June 1885
On Tuesday, sunrise in Hogsmeade will be two minutes earlier than it was on Monday, taking place at 3:27am. Sunset will also be later, taking place at 9:03pm, meaning the day will be three minutes longer than the Monday. The weather will be much the same as the day before, but with a higher maximum temperature of 66 degrees.

Following suit with Hogsmeade, the weather in London will remain much the same. Dry, calm, and fine, and once again a higher maximum temperature of 71 degrees. The sun will rise at 3:49am, the exact same as the day before, but set a minute later at 8:09.

Wednesday, 3rd June 1885
Hogsmeade on Wednesday will receive an three minutes of sunlight. Sunrise will be at 3:26am and sunset will be at 9:05pm. The trend of weather will continue this day, with the day being dry and clear, but with an increase in maximum temperature to 70 degrees.

Wednesday in London too follows the pattern, as the weather in London too will remain the same, but with in increase in maximum temperature to 80 degrees. The sun will rise at 3:48am and set at 8:10, meaning an almost sixteen and a half hour long day in London.

Thursday, 4th June 1885
Thursday will be the last day of sunshine. The maximum temperature during the day in Hogsmeade will be 75 degrees, while in London it may reach 85 degrees. However over the night, clouds will gather ready for the poor weather of the days after.

However, the length of days will still increase, with both Hogsmeade and London

gaining two minutes. The sun will rise in Hogsmeade will be at 3:25am, and set at 9:06pm. In London the sun will rise at 3:47am, and will set at 8:11pm.

Friday, 5th June 1885
With Friday comes the aforementioned bad weather. In Hogsmeade the temperature will drop by fifteen degrees to a maximum 60 degrees, and in London the temperature will drop by twenty to reach a maximum of 65 degrees. In both towns, the weather will be poor. Showers will be frequent in both, but more so in Hogsmeade.

Sunrise in Hogsmeade will be at 3:24am and sunset will be at 9:06pm. In London sunrise will be at 3:47am and sunset will be at 8:11pm. However in both locations, the day will seem moderately shorter due to bad weather conditions.

Saturday, 6th June 1885
The weather on Saturday will continue to be poor, and will get worse as the day goes on. The maximum temperature in Hogsmeade will drop even further to 55 degrees, and the frequency of showers during the day will increase. From around seven in the evening into the night there will be thunder and lightning. London will mostly escape thunder and lightning, although there may be brief moments. Showers will increase in frequency.

The sun will rise at 3:23am and set at 9:08pm in Hogsmeade, and in London the sun will rise at 3:46am and will set at 8:13pm.

Sunday, 7th June 1885
In Hogsmeade it will rain all day, before brightening in the evening. London’s weather will become better throughout the day, although will start off the day rainy. In both locations, the maximum temperature will increase by somewhere between five and ten degrees.

In Hogsmeade, the sun will rise at 3:21am and will set at 9:09pm. In London, the sun will rise at 3:44 and will then set at 8:14. Meaning over the week Hogsmeade will gain eighteen minutes of daylight, and London will gain thirteen minutes.
