Belfast was still mentally damning Marius Favreau and whatever supposed airtight had gotten him out of this.* This duel had the potential to be interesting, though, seeing as it featured his fail!cousin. And a MacFusty! Belfast explained the rules and said: "Mr. Byrne may begin."

He hadn't especially expected to win that first duel, but here he was! Under the watchful eye of... his younger hit wizard cousin. Well then. Giving Belfast a friendly roll of his eyes, he turned into a low bow to Mrs. MacFusty, and idly selected an ordinary knockback jinx, hoping to see the dummy flipped backwards.

This was fun!

No, it wasn't combative dueling -- which was probably a good thing because her proper dueling skills were fairly rusty by this point -- but if Immie was being honest, she liked it better this way. There was plenty one could do with decorative spells, and apparently she was better than she thought she was because she'd made it to the second round!

After the customary pleasantries were exchanged and Mr. Byrne had shown his display, Immie stepped forward for her own turn, and after a moment's thought raised her wand to charm a nearby statue to tap dance.

Ohhhh Lorcan. Hiding a grimace at the knockback jinx's failure to do shit, Belfast announced that Mrs. MacFusty had taken the round and could begin the next.

Immie's moment of victory was shortlived as she was bid to begin the next round, and after a minute's thought, pointed her wand at some nearby plant decoration, the leaves coming off one by one as they took shape of a lion. #GryffindorPride.

Well, awkward. Belfast didn't even look surprised; Lorcan just applauded Mrs. MacFusty approvingly as if he'd been trying to be gallant all along. Supposing that he probably wouldn't manage to pull a win, he just tried for a good old Jelly-Legs jinx.

Suppressing the vague desire to smirk, Belfast announced Mrs. MacFusty the winner of the duel. "Commiserations, cousin," he said brightly.
