I hope this letter finds you well, though I'm sure a bit unexpected. Miss Maxwell, the Minister's secretary, is helping me to start a sort of writing experiment started and she suggested I write to you. I've planned to write at random with others in a way to get to better know others. A sort of trial to see how well one can truly get to know another without the rules and restrictions of society breath down one another's necks. However, I don't feel at liberty to give my name just yet though perhaps later on down the line should that be agreeable.

What is it that you do for a job? Miss Maxwell mentioned you work in the Ministry as well but didn't say much more than that. I work as a secretary in the Ministry though only just recently started after finding homelife a bit dull, especially with the season over. Do you often partake in the hubub of it all? I've found that it all depends on the event just how enjoyable the time can be.

This is probably a bit rambly for now so I shall leave you to your work. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask though if you'd rather not partake in my experiment please do let me know.

That would make for a rather interesting day to have someone splinch themselves right there in front of you. I don't know that I'd quite have the stomach for it but it certainly sounds to come with the territory of your job! And you certainly do sound to have a great deal of experience about you when it comes to work. Do you have a favorite among the wide variety? What made you decide to join the Ministry in the end? It sounds as though your other jobs would have allowed you to be out and about a bit more and I know that some can prefer that over all else.

I find I agree with you about balls. When a theme is attached or there is an exciting event involved, it makes the outing much for fascinating. Unfortunately, those types of invitations are few and far between it seems. Most seem to simply prefer the ease and simplicity of a regular ball. I imagine the others require a great deal of work though so the host and hostess would need to be up to task, at least if they're to pull it off well enough.

And I've just found over the years that it seems to be made harder and harder to get to know one another's peers in life through all the hoops propriety forces you through. I thought that perhaps a series of letters could help to better get to know others. Also, if for whatever reason one or the other doesn't quite like the company of the other, it's easy enough to simply sever ties through a letter. I suppose in that sense, there isn't as much of an investment as if one were to be daily walking and chatting with another. Miss Maxwell offered her help when we were discussing those very things above over lunch one day. I think she has half a mind to play matchmaker wherever and whenever she can though so perhaps she had ulterior motives involved.

I can imagine being a Quidditch commentator to be quite fun though I don't exactly follow the sport. My father tried to dissuade me from it as it isn't exactly considered all the ladylike. I have a brother distant relation that plays professionally I believe. Though I'm not sure if he still does or not..

I was a Ravenclaw not overly long ago though sometimes it feels as if it's been ages since I've been in school. I suppose when one has a preference for reading, it seems like you're always learning though. Do you have any favorite hobbies to fill up your pastime?

I don't know that I have a favorite team to be entirely honest. I don't follow it close enough though I suppose I quite like the Cannons. My relation plays for them, after all.

Adventures sound fun! Do you have a favorite you care to share about? I wish I could go on adventures of my own. Being a woman makes that a bit harder to do though. I would love to one day be able to travel and see some of the history I read about first hand. It's perhaps my biggest dream. Hopefully it will come true one day.

I have a niece and a nephew as well and I would certainly consider being an aunt a hobby. Children are quite fun to be around when it comes down to it. So carefree and innocent. Do you just have the one sister? I have two brothers, one older and one younger.

A bear cub!? How does one accidentally adopt a bear cub? I suppose you no longer have him? That is quite interesting really. I've only got a kitten. I found her in the streets and nursed her back to health myself. She doesn't much care for anyone but me now though.

A female auror! That's quite fascinating as well. I bet it makes your family worry quite a bit. After all, being an auror is not a job to be taken lightly.

As for blood purity, I feel it's utterly ridiculous to put so much stock in the matter. I'm half myself, so it would be really quite silly to view those who aren't badly.
