Such a nasty response could only be explained by an immense amount of jealousy towards Miss Scrimgeour. It's quite obvious that the women working at Witch Weekly are far too poor to be without a job; it would not surprise me if you envy her rise from rags to riches! Perhaps you too could experience the lavish lifestyle of a socialite — if only you were able to rid yourself of your unbecoming attitude long enough to find a wealthy husband!
