Meet Me At The Back Of The Blue Bus - Cecily Gallivan - 09-02-2017 Welcome Feast. Open to 1-3 Ravenclaws! A dreadful sense of finality had settled in Cecily ever since reaching the gate of Hogwarts. She'd taken the carriage ride to the school - her final carriage ride. Prior to that, she'd seen a group of firsties making their way to their lake, just like she had done six years ago. She would cross the lake for a second time in a few months' time, signifying the end of her Hogwarts days. It was as though an hourglass had been turned, counting down the days until the end. This would be her last Sorting ceremony, her final welcome feast. Cecily was watching the sorting proceed as if she had been hypnotized by it. What she 'saw', however, was memories of her own Sorting. She had been so much younger then and times had been happier and Cecily wished she had appreciated those times more. If only she'd known that those would be some of her final times spent in blissful unawareness! There was a new addition to their table and Cee felt her eyes sting a bit. She blinked a tear away. RE: Meet Me At The Back Of The Blue Bus - Flora Halliday - 09-02-2017 If Flora had previously still felt like a small child, this school year was already beginning to remind her that she was aging. She wore her prefect's badge on her robe and watched as the newest additions to Ravenclaw made their way to their table, and she notes how tiny many of them were. She still had a baby face to some degree, but these really were baby faces. She wore a smile as she watched one of the newest house members skipped to the Ravenclaw table, and her eyes moved to Miss Gallivan — the new quidditch captain — as the first year sat down. She thought she saw a tear, and her smile almost immediately faded from her face. "Are you alright, Miss Gallivan? You look awfully somber for such an uplifting event," she said conceringly, trying to catch the other girl's eyes. RE: Meet Me At The Back Of The Blue Bus - Cecily Gallivan - 09-02-2017 Cecily hastily wiped the few tears away. She flushed slightly - she was the Quidditch captain and a beater besides - getting emotional over the Sorting ceremony wasn't the kind of thing a strong person did. "I'm alright, I'm alright," Cecily assured the other girl and gave her a quick smile to emphasize it. She didn't know the brunette but judging by the badge gracing her robes, she was a prefect. "I'm sorry, I don't know your name but I see congratulations are in order." She made an... eyebrow gesture to her badge. RE: Meet Me At The Back Of The Blue Bus - Oscar Stretton - 09-06-2017 Oscar wanted the ceremony to be over so he could eat. He was busy staring up at the starry ceiling, and it was only the fifth year's words for Miss Gallivan that caught his attention. He glanced at Cee - who looked not quite like Cee - and then at the girl. |
