History:

1873 — Augusta is born the second child and first daughter to Edmund and Drusilla Selwyn. While not necessarily a quiet child, she proves far less troublesome than her elder brother in her first months of life.

1877 — Muggles discover the magical world and much of the wizarding community is forced to go into hiding. Augusta's parents move the family to Hogsmeade, an all-magical wizarding village in Scotland.

1879 — Augusta's first sign of magic appears when she turns her icky peas into a plate of pudding. The day is greatly celebrated in the Selwyn family.

1884 — Both Augusta's father and uncle fall victim to the Hogsmeade laughing plague. Scandal hits her family when her Uncle Edric leaves the majority of his estate to a bastard rather than his own children. Augusta's mother shows a great deal of resentment after the family's name is tarnished, and that resentment is passed onto her youngest. However, there's no denying that there is a certain pleasure in watching her cousins' — aka the "important" Selwyns' — downfall.

1885 — Augusta begins Hogwarts and is sorted into Ravenclaw. Though she fully expected to be sorted into Slytherin, she's not all too disappointed with the Sorting Hat's decision. She soon figures out that one of her uncle's bastard's children, Cygnus Slughorn, is also in her year; she is entirely displeased and is soon happy that she was not sorted into Slytherin alongside him. She quickly finds friends with some of the other girls in her year. Her favorite classes prove to be History of Magic and Charms.

1887 — Augusta enters her third year and adds Care of Magical Creatures, Ghoul Studies, and Ancient Studies to her class schedule. None prove to be her favorite class, but she does enjoy all of them.
