merry christmas from an angel - Marianne Hatchitt - 12-25-2012

25th December 1882

Dearest Jesse,
I regret most profusely that we are not together to celebrate this very happy holiday, but since we are not, I can only wish you a very Merry Christmas; pray for your good health, and send you the sincerest affections of a friend. Do enjoy the box of chocolates I have enclosed. Indeed, they are incomparable to Honeydukes chocolates, but they are very quite delicious.

Dear Marianne,

I hope this finds you enjoying your holiday break. Things here are a bit chaotic, but that is nothing out of the ordinary for the Hatchitt family. Thank you for the chocolates, they were delicious, I have them hidden beneath my bed so my family does not find them. I have included for you a charms book that came highly recommended to me at the bookstore and I was assured you would enjoy it. I glanced through it, it is not like our text, but just as informational though enjoyable. I have something else for you as well, but I would rather give that to you in person.

I do not know if you will be in town for the New Years celebration, but I'm hoping so as New Years Eve is my eighteen birthday and I would very much like to see you. If not I will see you and give you your last present upon arrival back at school

Fondly,
Jesse
