    Rubble Cleared, Bodies Found
    JULY 16TH 1887

The remnants of the ill-fated World Wizarding Market were finally cleared on Friday, with Ministry and medical officials alike working hard to identify bodies found and notify the families of those affected. Below is a list of those known to have passed at this time, though this paper has spoken to several individuals concerned that their loved ones are still missing.

Antoinette M. Browning née Fontaine, Dowager Countess of Cornwall, 29, of Falmouth. She is survived by four sisters and one brother.

Mr. Thaddeus A. Macmillan, 57, of Buckinghamshire.

Mrs. Olivia R. Pendergast née Lestrange, 50, of Wellingtonshire, founder of the Pendergast School for Young Roses and wife of the late Philip Pendergast. She is survived by her children, Mr. Regan Pendergast, Mrs. Evelyn Abercrombie, Mr. William Pendergast, Mrs. Rosalind Beaumont, Miss Ellory Pendergast, and Miss Regina Pendergast; several siblings; and grandchildren.

Mrs. Líadan Power, 44, of Ireland.

Mrs. Heartwarming A. Whitledge, 37, of Irvingly. She is survived by six children and assorted extended family.

Mrs. Cassandra Midford, 37, of London, wife of Mr. Vincent Midford of Midford Textile Mills.

Mr. Charles J. Rey, 37, of London.

Mrs. Leisa K. Rosier née Echelon-Arnost, 26, of Wellingtonshire. She is survived by her husband, son, mother, and several siblings including famed quidditch player, Samuel Echelon-Arnost.

Mr. Christian C. Trengrove, 18, and Mr. Nicholas A. Trengrove, 12, of Norfolk. They are survived by mother Mrs. Marit Van Houten, step-father Mr. Baldemaar Van Houten, and six other siblings, including Mrs. Imogen MacFusty née Van Helsing.
Mr. Mordred M. Parkinson, 16, of Wellingtonshire, son of Mrs. Astrid Parkinson, brother of Mr. Orpheus Parkinson, and grandson of former Minister of Magic Evangeline Orpington.

Mr. Leroy L. Lukeson, 15, of London, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ryder Lukeson.

Mr. Heracles Fairchild, 50, and Mrs. Rosie Fairchild, 37, of London, who leave behind four children. Also perished is their son, Hades Fairchild, 6.

Mr. Ash T. Stonshire, 42, of London, survived by his wife and children.

Mr. Herbert E. Fudge, 37, proprietor of the Sanditon Resort in Sussex. He lives on as a spirit among us, and so begs a celebration of his life, rather than the mourning of his death.

Mrs. Molly Hatchitt, 25, of Bartonburg and her two children, Beatrice and Tristan, 4. They are survived by her husband, auror Gabe Hatchitt.

Mr. Smoke R. Stoneshire, 17, of London, survived by his mother and siblings.

Mr. Hades Fairchild, 6, of London.

Miss Theodora Atkins, 32, of Pennyworth, who died protecting her charge, the surviving Miss Cecily Gallivan.

Mr. Morgan R. Lee, 30, of Hogsmeade.

Miss Maria S. Grover, 28, of Hogsmeade.

Mr. Peter J. Lee, 23, of Pennyworth.

Mr. Carter W. Reese, 13, of Hogsmeade.

Mr. Dunstan K. Ruskin, 11, of Hogsmeade, a halfbreed.

    JULY 16TH 1887

In an impromptu meeting of the Wizengamot yesterday, a controversial new law was passed that makes illegal marriage between humans and non-humans, regardless of magical status.

Effective immediately, no licenses will be issued for such unions, though the official word has not yet come down on whether or not existing marriages will be impacted.
Minister of Magic Balthazar Urquart was reportedly not present at the session due to his wedding to Miss Adelia Lovegood (congratulations to the happy couple!). Some speculate that this may be intentional on the part of those who wished for the resolution to be passed with minimal fuss.
