HAFBREED PROBLEM NOT SO EASILY SOLVED

    LETTER TO THE EDITOR

    To: A Solicitous Student:

It pains me to think that your History of Magic lessons have gone so wholly ignored in spite of the fine education you have been privledged to receive. After all, had you heeded your professor, you would be quite aware of magical society’s long history of valuing a certain standard of blood. Do you think, then, that such brilliant minds as Hogwarts founder Salazar Slytherin and former Minister of Magic Josephina Flint simply did not try to devise a way to determine purity of blood? Or do you allege instead that they simply were not good enough to be successful, nor influential enough to task their best potioneers with such a noble cause?
    _____________________________________________________________
Too, veritaseurm has its limitations. Someone who believes with all their heart that the sky is orange would indeed confess as much, so would not a child ignorant of their heritage do the same? You would have us perpetuate the Halfbreed Problem, and further back it up with loose, false ‘facts’!

Please return to your studies, child, and leave the true thinking to those of us with some experience under our belts.
