ANTONIA GREYBACK TO RUN FOR MINISTER
Founder of Magical Franchisement league set to run for Ministry Top Spot |
Mrs Antonia Greyback, founder of the Magical Franchisement league, has announced today that she will run for the position of Minister of Magic. Hard on the heels of Mister Urqaurts resignation Mrs Greyback has wasted no time in announcing her candidacy and her intention to use her platform to advance an agenda of social and political economy across Magical Britain. With no prior experience of public policy before Mrs Greyback, a strong advocate of half breed rights, has stated that she will bring all of her considerable experience in the public lime light to bear to ensure that the issues that are important to the public are considered and addressed at the highest reaches of Government. Her husband, Mr Fenrir Greyback, is said to be fully supportive of his wife’s intention to run for public office, and with her eldest son beginning his career at Hogwarts Mrs Greyback insisted that the time had never been better. ‘My children are entering public life, they will be exposed to people from all walks of life, and I will not have them frightened of boogeymen in the shadows and folk devils in the cupboards just because someone has a half baked notion that halfbreeds will be the end of civilised society.’ _____________________________________________________________ |
Mrs Greyback is noted for her outspoken engagement with many public figures, including the editors of Witch Weekly on their treatment of her, her family, and other members of society. It was recently reported that she publically chastised former Minister for Magic, Mrs Jospehina Flint at a ministry protest infavour of the half breed ban, where Mrs Greyback was part of the counter protest. When asked about her suitability for Minister, Mrs Greyback insisted, ‘A minister should not be a career politician! Someone who has made it their life’s work to manipulate the corridors of power! We need new blood, new faces, people who don’t owe their careers or their station to the good will and good opinion of other politicians. I believe that I can represent the interest of everyone in Magical Britain, and her territories over seas!’ AUTHOR: IAN PENGLOSS |
