September 2nd
Slowly but surely, Evelyn Abercrombie was working towards her goal of sitting down with each of the Roses that she had inadvertently inherited from her mother before the month of September was out. She had received letters from apprehensive mothers, seen (or imagined) whispers amongst her students, worrying about the school’s change in leadership. Evelyn was a formidable socialite in her own right, of course, but there was only one Olivia Pendergast, and she had tragically perished over the summer months. Though she did see the wisdom in taking the measure of each young witch in her care, the blonde saw this, too, as opportunity for them to take her measure—to see she was every bit as strong as her mother.@'Clarissa Cosgrove' or @'Aurelia Vernon'
Or so she hoped.
“Please, have a seat,” she greeted with a smile as her next appointment arrived. “I know with the weather so fair many of the ladies have taken to croquet in the garden, so I promise I shall not keep you long.”
