    Birthday Greetings
    Private Thread
Jamesina had woken up knowing that it was Andrew's birthday. Since their full reconciliation, he had constantly been on her mind. She had the day off of work which was a happy scheduling coincidence and so she had spent it baking up some cookies that she had then put into a tin.

Jamesina headed off to Pennyworth at around the time that she figured Ministry employees got off of work. She had asked for directions to the Bingham's new home and now stood outside it as she knocked on their door.

Despite being the youngest in his household, Andrew had the highest paying job. It could be attributed to the fact that neither of his parents had gone as far as the end of their third year at Hogwarts, let alone far enough to earn their OWLs.

He'd been forced to give up his job on the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad since the disaster at the Wizarding World Market in favor of an office job in the Muggle Liaison Office, for even in December he was still suffering aches and pains related to almost having his entire leg ripped off.

He'd been tended to during his time in the hospital by healers, but Jamesina had made a great effort to comfort him and visit him while recovering. She had bee the one to find him in such a mangled state, and after a while of thinking about it he'd realized how traumatic that must have been for her.

He'd just gotten off work and had just sat down for the afternoon when he heard a rapping on his door. Andrew was by no means rude, and despite his exhaustion, had no intention of leaving the person standing in the cold until the left. He moved from his seat and went to open to the door, only to be greeted with a pleasant sight that left him grateful he hadn't ignored it.

"Jamesina," he said fondly, opening the door all the way. "What brings you here today?" It was obvious that she was here to see him, but there was a doubt in his mind that she actually remembered what the occasion was.

It must have been a happy coincidence.

Jamesina smiled up at Andrew as he opened the door. She had been somewhat expecting to be greeted by one of his parents and she was a little tongue tied to be so immediately put into his presence upon her arrival. Even so, she smiled brightly up at him as she held the tin in her hands out to him.

"You didn't think I would forget your birthday, did you?" She asked, a lightly playful tone to her words. "I brought a gift for you."

His birthday. He didn't know whether he was more shocked that she remembered his birthday or that she'd actually come to his home to give him a present in person. Before she'd shown up, he would've believed she hadn't cared enough to remember his birthday during their years apart (though she very well could have caught a glimpse of his papers while he was admitted to St. Mungo's).

He took a step outside so he could take the gift from her, noting that it was incredibly chilly outdoors. He didn't want to ask her to come inside, for that would likely cause gossip if anyone was peeking from their windows or loitering on the streets, but he wouldn't have her standing outside.

"Are you cold?" he asked as he took the little tin from her. He held it, noting that it didn't seem empty, but it didn't seem heavy either. After a moment of examining it, the former Hufflepuff looked back up at the redhead with a grin.

"What's in it?" he asked curiously, afraid to shake it.
