On a lark, Tiger had decided to meander down into Diagon Alley. If he wasn't mistaken, there were usually things to do there. It was practically tradition for him to emerge from the Hebrides for a drink or two. Not just champagne either but the good stuff.

Many of the windows were opaque from winter frost which made everything look a little hazy. He stifled a chuckle at the sight of one shopkeeper rather vigorously wiping the frost off his shop display in a manner that had it quaking slightly. If he wasn't mistaken, some things were frozen too if the clanking from the animated shop mannequin was anything to go by.

It felt odd to actually be content this Christmas. His mood the previous ones had been best described as acrid. He had been rather stricken by the loss of his wife and had been briefly lost to the grief that had followed him everywhere.

It was now time for a new saga in his life. He had plans to find himself a new bride. The mental image of what she would be like was hazy at best but hopefully she would be someone that his children would not raise a revolution against. There was a parade of eligible girls throughout Britain but the number of those whose family would promise them to a MacFusty were but few.

She only had a few days left of freedom and she had no intentions of spending it cooped up inside - cold or not. Not that the counted the training room as inside. Still, while she had relished in the opportunity to openly practice, but even still, she wanted to see all she could before being trapped again in the prison. On the list for today, a visit to Fudge & Son Desserterie and a few other mundane tasks she would have rather left to someone else. Still, at least she was allowed her sweets stop, she thought, sighing as she let the door fall behind her and bit into the still warm scone. Mmmmm it was always worth the day trip to come out to London.

Her expression shifted into a frown as she noted someone passing by. Was that Mr. Macfusty - or at least the Mac variety, the one who married one of her cousins. What was he doing in London? Should she go pester him? Six months later and she still hadn't been turned off the idea of talking her cousin-in-law to teaching her about dragons. Grinning, she tugged her companion along with her until she got closer and frowned. That was not Mac. He did, however, look like an older Mac - hadn't someone mentioned once to her that Malcolm had a bunch of brothers? Like more than she had sisters?  If that was right she felt really bad for their mother. She'd have kids until she had a son and then she'd be done.

"Mr. Macfusty?" she tested figuring she could always just play it off as mistaking him for someone else if she was wrong about him and Mac being related - not that she had a lick of an idea of what she was gonna say if he did answer.
