1857 — Lafayette is the fourth and final Scrimgeour child to be born.
1860 — At the age of two, nearly three, Lafayette made his first magical display when Valencia was rooting through his toy chest and he angrily magicked the lid down on her hands.
1861 — Valencia leaves for Hogwarts.
1866 — A lavish Coming Out Ball is held for Valencia and Lafayette makes a point of throwing a particularly noisy tantrum in front of his parents out of jealousy

1869 — Lafayette receives his long awaited Hogwarts letter and within a few months, departs for the wizarding school. He is sorted into Slytherin and it is his first year which does him a great favor and toughens him up. His first night in the Slytherin dormitory, he is overheard crying into his pillow for he has left his favorite toy behind, his eavesdropper and roommate becomes his tormentor and teases him for it for weeks before Lafayette hits him with a knockback jinx and earns his respect. The two become good friends after this.
1870 — Lafe tries out for the quidditch team but after being hit in the head with a quaffle and receiving a concussion, he decides he never wants to play the sport again.
1871 — Lafe picks out his electives, choosing Care of Magical Creatures, Divination and Ancient Runes. Within a month of taking Ancient Runes, he drops it because he finds it boring and can't be bothered to learn all the different 'scribbles'. He actually doesn't do badly at COMC but treats Divination as a laughable class, making up most of his homework when he actually bothers to do it. It's safe to say his grades were consistently poor, not trollworthy but not wonderful either.
1872 — He finds out in his third year that he has a natural ability for dueling (until he gets hit and makes a fuss about it) but doesn't really care much about doing anything with it.
1873 — During his fourth year, Lafayette realizes he isn't quite like his friends. His tormentor turned friend from his first year is now his best friend but when his friend starts talking about a girl in their class incessantly, Lafe realizes he knows exactly how his friend feels except he feels that way about said friend.
1874 — His OWL grades are a smattering of Ps and the occasional A. He is unfazed and refuses to try harder at his NEWTs, his laziness with his work is a well-known thing amongst his professors. He chooses to continue with Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts.
1876 — His NEWT results are better than his OWLs but not by much, his best grade being in Care of Magical Creatures. Now free of Hogwarts, Lafayette decides he deserves a good rest and doesn't pursue employment for a year.

1877 — Hassled by his parents for an entire year to get a job, he finally secures a position in the Office for House Elf Relocation to shut them up. A co-worker introduces him to opium and he takes to it like a niffler to gold. Having had his first affair with a man a year earlier, he steadily grows more confident with taking lovers.
1880 — Tired of living with his parents, Lafayette gets himself a place in Wellingtonshire, Hogsmeade.
1884 — Lafayette miraculously avoids the plague as well as the burning of Wellingtonshire. Sadly his sister is not so lucky and it is with immense reluctance and considerable irritation that he allows her to stay with him. He is, however, thoroughly amused that her children entrusted to someone else, amused and relieved that he doesn't have to take them in too.

Lafayette was spotted in January leaving the Leaky Cauldron high and suspiciously soon after another man sparking rumors suggesting he enjoys the company of men. As a result, he is intent on proving to society that he is perfectly heterosexual and is strongly considering a wife.
