In her time at Hogwarts, Elsie has mostly kept to herself, making a few friends here and there. Not your typical Gryffindor, as she can be rather shy and bookish, Elsie’s house qualities are subtle and indirect. She is however, a fierce friend to those to can break through. She has a bit of a penchant for fairy tales and her incessant reading makes her part of the school’s Book Club.

She’s had a moment or two of real-life fairy tales, befriending Somerset Agrippa in her fifth year. Things never moved beyond a small crush and a tight friendship, but Grip was unfortunately expelled for a crime he did not commit. They stayed in touch as best they could, but he inevitably left the country and Elsie hasn’t heard from him since. Sixth year started with a bang, the summer beforehand, Elsie met a Mr. Adam Parker when she volunteered at the hospital. Another brief crush and disappointment later left Elsie convinced she was cursed in this department and she went back to her typical bookworm ways.

All the while, Elsie has become close with Tybalt Kirke, a fellow Gryffindor in her year. He's managed to bring her out of her shell quite a bit and the two have settled into an easy friendship. With the start of her seventh year, tragedy struck October 2nd when Elsie’s elder brother, Bentley, was killed in a fire, sending the whole family into mourning. Els leaned heavily on Tyb during the fall, fighting some growing feelings for him, though a disaster trip into the woods during the fall festival certainly didn’t help. She’s managed to push things aside for now with NEWTs to study for and a debut to worry about, but who knows what the summer will bring!

With graduation and the Coming Out Ball behind her, Elsie has started working for her friend Odira Potter at Whizzhard's Books. The events of her debut, though not entirely how she had planned, unfolded much better than she could have hoped for. Though a new level of their relationship leaves Elsie and Tyb in an unusual spot, she's certainly not complaining. 

New Year's Day 1885 brought about an unexpected situation. After receiving and refusing several letters from a secret admirer (Toussaint Favreau), Tybalt finds out about the letters and an argument ensues. Elsie and Tyb go the better part of four months without speaking, finally dissolving the issue in April of that year. Things improve greatly after a heartfelt conversation and the pair decide their going to commit to whatever it is they're doing. xx
