    OCTOBER 18TH, 1887

    IT'S A GIRL!

RReaders will recall the wedding of Miss Aurelia Herondale to Mr. Garrett Wallingford last June, and the couple is now pleased to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, on the morning of the 7th of October, 1887.

The child, named Katherine Annora, is said to be named after her late aunt whose untimely death had deeply affected the family, and Mr. Wallingford, Assistant Head of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and recently announced as campaign manager for second-running ministerial candidate, Eugene Scamander, says,

"Before she passed, my sister had been a marvelous woman; kind, intelligent, passionate, all the things that we could hope that our daughter will one day embody. It was inconceivable to my wife and I to name our firstborn after anyone else."

Both mother and child are reported to be recovering well. The family is currently only accepting visits from close family, but it's expected that all others will soon be, as well. We at the Daily Prophet give congratulations to the happy couple and hope for a continued safe recovery for both Mrs. Wallingford and the new Miss Wallingford!
