Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 12-28-2013

  • Though he did miss his parents and younger sister, Castor did love the castle over the holidays. With much of the students gone home, the ‘empty’ relic seemed like far more of an adventure, and while he had not dared venture out of bounds since Miss Filch had led him astray the year prior, the Gryffindor always did love a good exploration, and Hogwarts’ nature was to change and grow, meaning every adventure turned up something new.

Today’s mission saw the fourth year—though he was tall enough that most thought him a sixth year at a distance—down a corridor he had found near the base of the owlry tower. He had been stopped for quick chat with the ghost of Sir Nicholas, and yelled at by a portrait of a female goblin for ‘disturbing her beauty rest’, but thus far had come across little enough of note. Rather disheartened, the Gryffindor rounded the corner, only to be quite startled as he nearly collided with someone.

At the last moment, Castor all but jumped backwards, his pulse quickening as he attempted to regain his composure. “Sorry!” he said at last. “I wasn’t expecting to see anyone down here!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 01-10-2014

I couldn't resist >.>
  • Kenton rather liked staying at Hogwarts so far. He got to do all the fun things at Hogwarts without having to worry about his classes. Well, almost. Most of the professors had given them some kind of assignment for the holidays, but Kenton was not planning on worry too much about them. Classes wouldn't resume until many days from now and Kenton had time.

For now, he'd rather do fun stuff. And, most of the fun stuff he had in mind, involved his favourite cousin in the whole world, Castor.

Kenton had caught glampse of his cousin while he was heading to his dueling club and he had thought about approaching him, when some insecurity inside him stopped him. What if Castor didn't want his company? He had failed to join the Quidditch team and even after three months Kenton still felt like Castor had not forgiven him about that failure (nevermind that his cousin had never given him any reason for him to think that way).

So he just followed Castor, thinking of what he could tell him once he finally gathered the courage to approach him. Would Castor agree if he asked him they train Quidditch? Or if he asked him if he could just join him in whatever he was doing?

All the thinking had made him lose sight of Castor and then he took a different corridor.

And then, he somehow ended up in front of Castor's way and they collided. It was just perfect.

"Really-Yeah, me too!" Kenton said hastily. "I wasn't expecting anyone either! It's such a surprise to see you here!"

Definitely a surprise. He had not practically followed his cousin around or anything. Not at all.

"Were you going something? Can I join you? You wouldn't mind if I joined you, would you?"

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 01-18-2014

  • Castor was quite surprised to see Kenton wandering about on his own—he knew his cousin had friends, but belatedly realized that they must have gone home for the holidays. Immediately, the fourth year felt rather bad for not making more of an effort to spend time with the younger muggleborn, especially since—with Myles home for the holidays—both of them surely could have used the company.

“I’m not doing anything in particular,” the Gryffindor said as if thinking the matter over very carefully, “but I suppose you could come along if you really want,” he settled on with a grin. “So long as you don’t mind exploring!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 02-02-2014

"Oh no, of course not!" Kenton replied, as if he was afraid that Castor would suddenly change his mind and inform him that he had no desire to be around him anymore. "I'd love to explore with you! What are we exploring? The secret passages? Do you know any secret passages, Castor? Do you?"

Of course he did. Kenton had no doubt that Castor knew where all the cool things at Hogwarts were located. He could probably even break into Professor Black's office if he set his mind to it.

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 02-14-2014

  • Secret passages? If only! Castor often wished he could spend more time in Hogsmeade, but only a secret passage (he very much doubted any existed, after three years of searching) out of the grounds would have helped him there. Still, Kenton looked so excited by the prospect that Castor—rather puffed up by the Gryffindor’s admiration—couldn’t help but give in to him.

“I have not found any yet,” he offered with authority, “but today shall be the day! You and I shall go down in Gryffindor history!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 03-01-2014

Kenton beamed at his cousin’s words. He was going to write Gryffindor and Hogwarts history with his most favourite person in the world! How great could that possibly be?

“I’ve heard rumours that there is one in one of the girls’ bathrooms that leads to a secret girly hideaway!” Kenton happily told his cousin in a rather secretive tone. “We should search for it! Maybe-” at that, Kenton leaned closer to Castor. “Maybe we could see them in their undergarments!”

Not that it would make such a difference to Castor, Kenton thought. He was sure that his cousin had seen a lot of girls in their undergarments. Quidditch players always had a better luck with the ladies.

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 03-18-2014

  • A bit of pink crept to Castor’s cheeks. He wasn’t certain that he wanted to see girls in their undergarments, and was embarrassed further that his cousin did. How horribly unchivalrous!

“If there were one there and rumours about it, surely it will have been found by now,” the fourth year reasoned, wanting to move away from the uncomfortable topic. “We should try to find some that no one even suspects!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 03-19-2014

“Of course!” Kenton agreed enthusiastically. They wouldn’t write Hogwarts history of they found something that had already been discovered, after all!

“Where else do you think that the ladies would gather?” Kenton then asked. “Maybe- Maybe somewhere close to the Slytherin common room! Under the lake! Maybe the girls gather there and swim in the lake! Secretly! And maybe the other Slytherins have another room where they hide things! Things they stole from other people!”

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 03-30-2014

  • Castor eyed the younger lion incredulously. Was Kenton seriously going to be fixated on girls now? Castor gave girls little enough thought unless he was playing quidditch against them or they were Miss Bones, so the second year’s newfound love of the ladies was rather foreign to him.

“I suppose the dungeons would be a good place to start,” he offered, “if we were looking for the Slytherins’…stash of treasure or what have you. Even if we can’t find any passage ways, there will surely be abandoned storerooms and that sort of thing!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 04-20-2014

“Yes!” Kenton said happily. “If they have very valuable things, we could sell them and be very rich!” Or, in Kenton’s case, richer. He was already quite rich, though not quite as rich as his brother Albert would likely be in a few years.

As the two started walking, Kenton quietly asked his cousin, in a conspirational sort of way. “Have you ever seen a lady without her clothes on, Castor?”

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 05-05-2014

  • Castor’s face turned a fitting Gryffindor crimson at his cousin’s question, stopping in his tracks as his eyes widened in shock.

“N-no!” he stammered, all but aghast. It was only very recently that the fourth year had begun thinking of young ladies at all (and Miss Bones in particular), but he had never even considered what they must look like underneath their clothes. He knew, of course, that they were different in the nude than he was, but he had given it little more consideration than that.

    “Have—have you?!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 05-11-2014

“Sadly not,” Kenton replied, disappointment clear in his voice. Despite his curiosity in the matter, he didn’t really have the guts to say, break into a female bathroom to see them naked. Besides, he was pretty sure that the female bathrooms had protective spells for that. And with that being the only possible place for naked ladies to gather, it was rather impossible for him to have seen more skin than usual.

“I’ve heard that there are magazines full of pictures of naked ladies,” he said. “You know, like those that Miss Lovegood was in. I do not know where to buy one from, though.”

He was pretty sure that Albert knew, but he doubted that his brother would tell him. “Perhaps one of your teammates knows?”

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 06-03-2014

  • “I certainly won’t be asking them!” he snapped, more sharply than he had meant to. True, he had heard all about the mayhem surrounding Miss Lovegood, but surely her expulsion (and subsequent, death, from what he had heard) should have been enough o convince Kenton that such ‘publications’ were a bad thing. “Honestly, Kenton, you’re far too young to be thinking of such things!”

Though in Castor’s mind—at least for the moment—anything shy of graduated was ‘far too young’.

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 06-16-2014

Kenton pouted at the sharpness of his cousin’s tone. If it had been anyone else, he would have argued that he was perfectly old to be interested in girls, but this was Castor and Castor was always very wise.

“You’re right,” he said and turned his eyes down in shame. “I let my curiosity get the best of me.”

RE: Adventure Time - Castor Allaway - 06-19-2014

  • Oh good lord, now he’d upset the younger lion! As much as Castor had wanted to get away from the rather uncomfortable subject, he did not wish for his cousin to believe him upset. After an awkward pause, the fourth year abruptly changed the subject.

“Do you know how to magically unlock doors?” Castor asked with rather forced cheerfulness. “It may come in useful once we reach the dungeons!”

RE: Adventure Time - Kenton Gallivan - 07-21-2014

Kenton’s face brightened up in an instant. “Of course I do!” Kenton exclaimed happily. He took out his wand and rather foolishly waved it, yelling: “Alohomora!” The spell that jumped out of the tip of his wand was deflected by one of the sets of armour and it went straight back at Kenton.

He could feel something growing on his head.
