A Tragedy (Though Hardly a Surprise) - Andromache Pettigrew - 02-02-2014

Feburary 2nd, 1884
My dear Arthur,

I write this with precious little surprise; Lucius’ wife is dead. Though admittedly a sweet soul she was, as you well know, tremendously stupid and I expect—as Lucius implied—she perished of her own doing.

We will, of course, be expected to attend the funeral and I will hear no objections. I trust you have something to wear?

Yours,

Mother

Mother,
February 3rd

Oh, Mrs. Alexandria Lestrange. She was the pleasant sort but - as you said - so stupid that I'm not really surprised, either.

But Cousin Lucius is terrifying when he's in a good mood. I have a mourning suit from Great-Grandfather William's death. That should be fine, right?
Much Love,
Arthur
