Adasia Mohr v. Samuel Pendergast - Elliot Carmichael - 11-15-2014

Miss Mohr was in his Divination class! Mr. Pendergast was not, but he was also a third year, which meant that this duel did not feature any of the very small children which meant that Elliot liked it already. He hated twelve year olds.

"Miss Mohr will begin," Elliot said after reminding both parties of the rules.

For her next display, Adasia had brought a paper fan as a prop. With any luck, she’d charm the flowers to life.

Sam was not surprised he had gotten to the second round. He was awesome, after all. He was a bit worried though - not too much so though, nothing could overcome his levels of confidence. But Miss Mohr was so incredibly pretty - like distractingly pretty - and it was a little bit annoying.

Then Sam cast tarrantellagra on the dummy.

Miss Mohr's charm was very successful, whereas Mr. Pendergast's spell was a little bit distracted and peetered out after a few seconds.

"Miss Mohr takes the round!" Elliot said, "Mr. Pendergast may start the next."

BOO. Miss Mohr had beaten him. Sam was not going to get beaten by a girl - not even a pretty one! This was all terribly annoying. BOOOOO.

Sam then did locomotor mortis on the dummy because that's like the only spell a third year can do that might have an effect on a dummy other than the one he did before that Rosa can't spell or even remember the name of.

Pleased by her victory, Daisy attempted to turn the flower-fan into a flower bouquet. Transfiguration was not one of her usual tricks, but she assumed the spell to be simple enough.

This time around, Mr. Pendergast's spell had the edge. "Mr. Pendergast won the round," he said, "Miss Mohr may begin the tie-breaker when ready."

Adasia cast a charm to make the flowers look silver and glittery.

That was more like it! Sam then cast serpensortia because Slytherinnnn.

Well that was... decisive... Mostly because Mr. Pendergast had only managed to produce half a snake, which was sort of extremely disgusting.

"Miss Mohr takes the duel and five points for Gryffindor!" Elliot chirped, after vanishing the half-snake.
