Appearance: Nathaniel is a rather tall man, with an astounding height of 185cm. He is not thin, but he isn't muscular either. Simply put, he can lift heavy objects but he wouldn't win in a brawl. Not that he would participate in one, anyway. He has dark brown hair that is often messy, however, he tries his best to keep it neat and tidy. He has greyish round eyes that are perpetually curious and observative. His nose is slightly crooked, and he has a slight stubble. He uses his wand and casts spells with his right hand. As for clothing, Nate tries to always look his best, wearing suits and the like, but it isn't rare to see him without cravat and with his sleeves rolled up in the Three Broomsticks.
History: Nathaniel was born in August of 1861 to a wizard father and a muggle mother. His father worked in the Research Committee and his mother was the owner of a small bookshop that she had inherited from her deceased father, but they separated in 1873. In 1872, Nathaniel began his Hogwarts education and was sorted into Ravenclaw. In 1876 his mother was fatally injured in a carriage accident and passed away. In 1880, Nathaniel graduated as an above average student but not the top of his class. From 1880 to 1883 he moved from place to place, studied other things and published magical research and books on different magical subjects. In 1886 he settled down in Hogsmeade, purchasing a residence in Excalibur, and in 1887 he purchased The Three Broomsticks.
Personality: Nate is an eccentric, always curious man. He strives to learn more about both the muggle and the wizarding world. He is outgoing and friendly and welcomes all that seek his aid. However, he has difficulties controlling his temper.
Sample Roleplay Post: Nathaniel blinked as he sat up in his bed. It was quite early. He yawned, rubbing his eyes, then looked around at his surroundings. He was in his residence in the Excalibur club. While it wasn't that big, it was quite comfy and welcoming. Slowly, but surely, Nate got out of bed and stood up. He pulled on his clothing, combed his hair, then looked at himself in the mirror. He looked quite dashing today. Grinning, he grabbed a book from beside his bed, locked the door to his room, and went downstairs. Excalibur was still empty, nobody had shown up-- save for the residents such as himself. Perfect. Nate sat down in a corner and opened his book. This was how most of his mornings started, and he was quite happy with it.
Half an hour or so later, Nathaniel closed his book, placed it in his coat pocket, and walked out to the street. Finally, he reached Hogsmeade and immediately made his way to The Three Broomsticks Inn. The shop owner unlocked the door and opened it. The manager arrived not much later. "Good morning, friend!" bellowed Nathaniel with a wide smile on his face. Returning the greeting, the manager walked in and, together, they set up the tables and the like. Once they were done, Nathaniel stayed around for several hours before going out to Hogsmeade to tend to other matters. He didn't check in often and mostly let the employees work. He trusted them. In the evening, he returned when the customers really began to arrive. He sat around with his patrons, talking, laughing and meeting those who had proposals and the like.
