Appearance: Eleanor Potter is a lovely young lady. She is a few inches shorter than her brother Darcy at 5'6" and hopes not to grow more and weighs about 130 or so. She has the dark hair of the Potters but her mothers blue gray eyes. She tried to keep up with the muggle trends but now tends to stick with her usual dresses, saving for special occasions for new ones. when she started writing, it was with her right. At the start of school, that hand continued to hold a dominate function as the wand hand also.


History: 1865ùborn to Jameson and Elspeth Potter. Elle is the youngest child and only daughter of the pair. She was a welcomed daughter by her mother but a bit of a shock for her brothers, especially young Darcy who didn't understand why a baby was here.


1870-1875ùEleanor was a fine student when she began her schooling. It was apparent as her years progressed just how much she enjoyed school. From the time she started school, there was never a moment that you didn't see Elle without a book in her hand, even if she could not yet read to herself. Eventually these books shifted from books on myths and morals to stories of life and revolution.


unlike typical children, Eleanor was one to find a reason to dislike children based on class. There was a child of one of the servants in their home in London that was a playmate when Elle was young. She took this child under her wing, teaching her ways of upper class life. When the girl became old enough to work and Elle was reaching 10 years, she was sent away. This broke little Elle's heart and vowed to make a way to bring her friend back. But shortly after her eleventh birthday, a letter from Hogwarts came, delaying those plans.


1876ùthat September, Elenaor started her first year at Hogwarts. The sorting hat was unsure of her house placement, whether it be Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. In the end the hat yelled Gryffindor, with a bit of aid from Elle. She wanted to be in the same house as her brothers, knowing it would be something they could share.


1877ùthis was the year families started coming to Hogsmeade. While her own parents didn't move until the next year, it also brought a great change. New servants called house elves were introduced to Eleanor at Christmas time. One couldn't have muggles cleaning when they were so ervous about magic.


1978- the year that Elspeth died. She could not handle the change of air in London Society and came down with a fever. The family house in Hogsmeade was just set so Eleanor was able to see her mother one last time. She misses her mother everyday and wishes her death did not happen.


1881- though just the beginning of 1881, nothing really has changed in the past few years. Her eldest brother lives in the family home, while there father has retreated from his grief to Paris. He has never gotten over the loss of his wife and his children are a reminder with their dark hair. Eleanor is getting ready for her OWLs and very much wishes to do well.


Patronus: only comes in whips but will be a superb fairywren when she masters the spell.

Boggart: her brothers, phantom like, unable to understand or reach her. Her greatest frear is to be lost from her family, either in death or disownment.

Amortentia: fresh fallen rain, yellow wildflowers, spring woods.

Merlin, it was so hard to be so close to Daniel and not tell him what she was feeling. Branwen wanted Daniel to know everything she had been putting off saying. It was easy to ignore a letter and to not let it seep into your heart. But that would also be lying.

Really, that is what Bran had done, ignored the letter. She didn't want to deal with the idea of the only person she wanted so much to be lost in Azkaban. For in that place, there was no chance of getting out. At lease that what she thought. Putting feelings down in a letter and telling Daniel that she loved him was hard. Writing it down made it real, and as a sixth year, telling a man seven years older than you that you loved them didn't sit well with people.

Daniel offered to help her find her bat. Really, that is all she wanted for the day. Not to confess loss moments missed, but to get a new bat. Having Dan help was all the better. He knew the ins and outs of playing and the equipment needed to be the best. This is what she really loved, talking about the game with someone who wasn't family. Besides other things about Dan, this really a great part of him.

When he said her name, Bran just kind of smiled. She liked how he said her name. but quickly her smile faded. The letter, he was apologizing for the letter. Branwen reached into her pocket and felt the worn paper under her fingers. The more he talked the more Branwen wanted to cry. She had to hold back the tears from falling.

"oh." was all she could say at first. If all Daniel wanted to just be friends then she would support that. He was with Brooke after all and Branwen couldn't really hope that he would want more for her. Branwen turned back to the stare at the bats. For a few moments Wenny hoped to not cry or make rash decisions.

Turning back to Daniel, Branwen sighed. She wanted to confess everything. But after being told how much he just wanted to be friends that would be odd. Yes, Bran did love him and if she could she would be with him. But with everything in their lives that would be impossible. There wasn't a lot that could be done. Unless she just confessed everything.

Confessing everything might be better in the long run. Yes, Branwen didn't want to lose Daniel either, but if he knew how she felt then maybe things could change. Maybe she could come visit him here more. or maybe nothing would change but he would know. Isn't that what he did with his letter, just let Branwen know? If Dan could do it, why couldn't Wenny?

"Since we are making confessions, I have one of my own." Branwen turned to look into Daniel's eyes. She could do this, and she had to. Bran needed to tell Dan so she could move on. "I'm sorry I didn't write back. I should have. I wanted to. I was scared. I value our friendship so much, so your letter didn't change it. But," Branwen looked around. The Bats were in the back part of the store, but she didn't want people to hear her. Grabbing his hand, Branwen pulled Dan closer to the back.

Merlin, did she want to kiss him. Having Dan this close made it that much harder to resist the urge. "If you just want to be friends, I understand. You are with someone else and I should and will respect that. But you need to know." Forget it, Branwen was going to go for it. Grabbing his face, Branwen leaned in to kiss him. It was all she could do. There was nothing else she could do to express it but say the words. Pulling away, Branwen looked into Daniel's blue eyes. "I love you too."
