Dearest Pandora,

I never got to write to you on the Quidditch try outs. Did everything go well, dearest? I am sure that you were by far the most talented from all the kids that tried out and Hufflepuff will surely be very lucky to have you as their chaser.

Father and I miss you greatly. It is so lonely here, now that both you and Gandalf are at Hogwarts. I hope that your brother did not get into any trouble? He does not have any troubling friends, does he?

Mother,

I am quite sorry for not letting you know sooner, but I have made the team! While I am not sure that I am the most talented of the new recruits, I was plainly better than many of them, for I do not even think I was Captain Lovegood’s last choice. My first match will be against Gryffindor next month!

I miss both you and Father very much, though I am happy to be back with my friends. I am keeping an eye on Gandalf, though his placement in Slytherin means I don’t see too much of him. I’m reasonably sure he has not fallen off a tower yet, though, which I suppose is a good sign. I would not worry about his friends; he is far too sensible to fall in with the wrong sort, and while I know you have been concerned by his house, many of the Slytherins really can be quite nice.

Dearest Pandora,

I am very happy for you, dear! I am sure that Gryffindor stands no chance against you! Just take care and be as careful as possible when you are playing and practising. I do not want to open the Daily Prophet and see that an accident similar to that of that Japanese player's happened to you!

Gigi told me that his fellow Slytherins do not like him very much, but I suppose that you are right and they are not all so bad. He tells me that he has become close to a boy from Irvingly, Jason. You will tell me if the two get in two much trouble, won't you?

I do not want you to worry too much about your brother, though! I want you to be happy and make lots of friends. Are all of your friends well, dear? I hope none of your female friends took the news of you playing Quidditch too terribly. Some girls can be so boring and close-minded when sports are concerned!
