Charming is a Victorian Era Harry Potter roleplay set primarily in the village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the non-canon village of Irvingly. Characters of all classes, both magical and muggle — and even non-human! — are welcome.
With a member driven story line, monthly games and events, and a friendly and drama-free community focused on quality over quantity, the only thing you can be sure of is fun!
"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
Despite the boysââ¬â¢ interruption, they continued working quietly, unlike some students who claimed that she was being unfair when she rightfully scolded them for their unacceptable behaviour.
ââ¬ÅVery good, Miss Van Patten, five points for Gryffindor!ââ¬Â Valkyria said as she passed from the young Gryffindor. The girl had rarely disappointed her and Val was sure that sheââ¬â¢d do well on her OWLs if she continued that way.
ââ¬ÅExcellent, Miss Urquart!ââ¬Â she commented as she passed from the Hufflepuffââ¬â¢s desk. Her tea had been brewed to perfection. ââ¬ÅFive points for Hufflepuff!ââ¬Â She gave the girl a smile and then moved to the next student.
ââ¬ÅGood, Miss Beauregard! Take five for Slytherin!ââ¬Â she said. She knew that the girl was capable of better, but compared to what some of her peers had accomplished, the Slytherin was successful.
Girls were always more successful, really.
Clasping her hands in front of her, Valkyria paced to the front of the classroom. ââ¬ÅYou have ten minutes left!ââ¬Â

Siofra enjoyed charms for the most part. It was useful and some charms wielded beautiful effects though there weren't many charms that she could do yet. Well, no one in the class could since they were all first and second years. Siofras ears perked to attention as the professor announced what they would be doing that day. Siofra was deeply fond of tea, especially when it was served with snacks. Oh, that just made her think of home and how much she missed it.
Siofra eyed her kettle and teabag and nervously readied her wand as the professor said that they could begin. Five points for Gryffindor would be splendid, as well as a nice cup of tea. There was a small bit of tension happening between two boys but Siofra paid it no mind as it did not concern her. Focusing on the task at hand, Siofra performed the charm and waited with a slightly held breath to see if she would be rewarded with a cup of tea.

This was so boring. Why would Prue — a future dragon handler! — need to know silly domestic charms like this? With a dramatic sigh, the eleven year old tried the charm for the third time. If she didn't get it right this time she might as well just give it up.
It was stupid anyway.

Delight smiled happily. She was very proud to earn points for her house, and she'd certainly been practising hard after nearly taking a class-mate's eye out. It was just such a shame studying was so boring!
She sipped the hot tea gratefully for the room had a bit of a chill, before sitting back and watching the class. Several members seemed to be getting a little disgruntled, but she knew how frustrated she got when her magic wouldn't work. She was about to take another sip when the student next to her dropped their wand in her tea, with a little 'oops!'.
Valkyria could see that after her announcement on the time, some of her students had started working even harder on accomplishing the spell. “I would wave more gently, Mr. Gallivan.” she commented as she passed in front of the Gryffindor, who was waving his wand so passionately that she felt it might slip off his hands.
“Excellent, Miss Donohue!” Valkyria told the second year as she passed in front of her desk. “And you too, Miss Browne.”
And then, the bell rung, indicating the end of the class. “Ten points to Gryffindor, thanks to Miss Donohue and Miss Browne respectively!” she announced. With a wave of her wand, all cups were emptied from their content and floated back on her desk. The caretaker would take care of them, but it’d still be polite that they weren’t left scattered all over the classroom.
