Appearance:
January stands at a precise five feet, zero inches and weighs approximately ninety pounds. She has greyish green eyes with long, brown hair that falls to her waist when it is let down. January wears clothing that is suitable for her age and class though she tends to dress a lot more modestly than her peers. Her wand hand is her left hand.
History:
July 22, 1869 - January Annette Lynch is born, making her the fifth child and fourth daughter of the family. She grows an attachment more to November and September than she does to her other siblings.

1872 - October is born and January is secretly upset at no longer being the youngest of the family. She quickly gets over it as she spends time with the new baby.

1873 - January exhibits her first signs of magic in the form of 'summoning' a toy that a sibling had put out of her reach.

1874 - At the age of five, January began her lessons with the family tutor along with her other siblings. She enjoyed these lessons, mostly due to her siblings presence. January also found a fondness for gardening and cooking.

1877 - The Lynch family move to Hogsmeade which doesn't overly concern January. August and February soon head off for Hogwarts and are sorted into Gryffindor.

1879 - January is distraught when September and November head off for Hogwarts. The two girls are sorted into Gryffindor.

1880 - Finally, the time comes when January heads off to Hogwarts as well. She is ecstatic to be sorted into Gryffindor like her siblings before her. She sticks close to her siblings and has a difficult time branching out from them. She immediately joins the gardening club, however, and makes friendly acquaintances and friends within the club. January quickly proves to also have a natural knack for Herbology. January, after much thought, decides to also join the Potions and Art clubs.

1882 - At the age of 13, Januarys mark of womanhood arrives. She was distraught at this change as it meant that she was no longer a child and no longer had the relative freedom of one. She was also not too fond of having to wear corsets. For a time, she was also sure that something was wrong with her since her older sisters had their monthly cycles arrive when they were fourteen. Mrs. Lynch quickly assures her that it is natural and something that 'just happens'.

January also begins taking her chosen elective courses of Care of Magical Creatures, Divination and Arithmancy.

1883 - October arrives at Hogwarts and surprises everyone with her Slytherin sorting. This is also the year where January starts to notice the more appealing differences between girls and boys.
