    Miss Tinker,

It has been some time since last we spoke, but rest assured, I have been thinking hard on the awarding of the Parkinson Scholarship!

Congratulations, Miss Tinker—I have found you to be both polite and goal-oriented, two traits that I think will serve you well in the long-term, and which make you an ideal recipient for the Parkinson Scholarship. Funds will be applied directly to your account at the school; should you receive additional funding, they will go instead towards all-new supplies for the coming year.

You must, of course, let me know if your family is still reluctant to have you attend past your fifth year. I did not get to my position without some measure of persuasive talents.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. A. Parkinson

    Mrs. Parkinson,
Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity. I shall not dissapoint you. I will talk to my parents, but I doubt your intervention will be needed. With the funding provided I am sure they will be much more prone to be persuaded by me.

    sincerely,
    Miss L. Tinker

    Miss Tinker,

Do not thank me overmuch; you would not have been given this opportunity had you not earned it.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. A. Parkinson
