Appearance: Even with his sixty years behind him, Ulysses looks quite decent. His short dark brown hair is slowly beginning to turn gray, especially visible at his temples. He is of average height and average weight, though unfortunately slowly gaining a small stomach. He is wearing simple suits, not wanting to spend too many money on his own clothes when his daughters needs their school instead. He has blue eyes and uses his right hand.

History:

• 1822 - Ulysses is born to as the first child and son to Horace Lestrange and his wife. He is born as an upper-class heir to the Lestrange name.
  
  1824 - Ulysses becomes an older brother, as his parents have a daughter, they name Minerva
  
  1828 - 6 year old Ulysses shows magic as shortly after his second little sister, Hecate, is born
  
  1830 - Ulysses only brother is born, named Orpheus
  
  1831 - Orpheus dies in the winter 1830/1831
  
  1833 - Ulysses goes to Hogwarts, and unlike many of his relatives he is sorted into Hufflepuff
  
  1840 - Ulysses graduated from Hogwarts, with expected grades that is showing an excellency as his father expected from him. After graduating, Ulysses begins working in the ministry.
  
  1852 - Being free to choose his own wife, Ulysses thinks himself settled enough to support a family, and with his thirty years, he goes to several debut balls, including some that the Lestrange family would normally not attend, if nothing else then to be seen and do something with the days. As such, he meets a young Lydia Yates, and flirts slightly with her.
  
  1858 - After six years with a mixture of unintentional flirting, meetings as well as in the later years more carefully planned meetings and letters, Ulysses finally marries muggleborn Lydia Yates. Meanwhile, Ulysses is aware that marrying Lydia is not approved of by the rest of the family, but he makes an arrangement with his cousin Lucius Lestrange. In taking an Unbreakable Vow with his cousin, he promises a tithe of his earnings, through out the rest of his life. Along with this he promises that any sons born to him will not live to see their first birthday, and that any daughters of his, will at their school age, never talk with any of the paternal family. While the rest of the Lestrange family does not understand Ulysses, then he truly believes that he has made the right decision. This decision also leads to that Ulysses along with Lydia becomes middleclass
  
  1859 - Even though Ulysses was happy to hear that he were to become a father, then he is sad to hear it is a son Lydia gives birth to. If he were to be happy about one thing at his first child then it is that the boy is silky and before long he dies. Ulysses is grateful that he does not have to kill his first son himself.
  
  1860 - Even though his father dies, Ulysses does not inherit anything, his decision to marry a muggleborn made his father change his will so what little fortune Horace had created for himself, goes to Ulysses uncle, William. Along with this, Lydia gives birth to another boy, that unfortunately for both of them is quite strong, and after he has lived a few weeks, Ulysses takes the decision to kill his son in order to not drop dead himself. Lydia becomes a healer, something Ulysses accepts without much time to think, despite how he was brought up.
  
  1863 - Another boy child is born to Ulysses and Lydia, and Ulysses soon takes his life. The less time they have to bond with the child, the better for both him and Lydia.
  
  1865 - Lydia and Ulysses finally have their first daughter, and in joy of this, they name her Hope. Ulysses is happy to finally have a child he does not have to kill.
  
  1869 - Another daughter is welcomed into the unusual Lestrange family, this time named Grace.
  
  1870 - Even though Ulysses is reaching his 50th birthday, he welcomes a third daughter, named Faith
  
  1873 - A fourth daughter name Charity enters the world. Ulysses cannot believe his luck to have four daughters, and truly hopes that it is a sign that he does not gets any more sons, having already been forced to kill twice is already taking a lot on him.
  
  1875 - Ulysses cousin Klaus Lestrange dies, and while Ulysses is not personally affect by his death as such, Lucius calls him in for a meeting. Not daring to go against his cousin, Ulysses meets up and the old Unbreakable Vow gets altered, such that Ulysses now has to a tithe to Orestes Lestrange and a tithe to Priam Lestrange, on top of the tithe he already pays to Lucius. Knowing that it is both his and Lydia’s life that will be taken, he accepts. Along with this, Lydia gives birth to another son, that Ulysses rather quickly kills.
  
  1876 - Hope goes to Hogwarts and Ulysses is proud of his daughter, even though he tries to keep the costs down, and as such the books is as much as possible second-hand.
  
  1877 - A final and fifth girl is born. She is named Verity
  
  1880 - Grace follows Hope into Hogwarts.
  
  1881 - Faith also goes to Hogwarts
  
  1883 - In the summer the family moves to Irvingly.
  
  Present - Despite having been working for decades in the same department as a regular employer, Ulysses has yet to receive a promotion. Not having the family support is something he can feel very clearly but he never complains. He still has his love to Lydia and that makes it worth it.[/lis]
  
  Personality: One of the few Lestranges to be sorted to Hufflepuff, Ulysses is incredibly loyal to those he cares about. As such, he is also sacrificing for his children when it comes to their education.
