Gawain,

I do not doubt, with all that is going on, that you are dreadfully busy these days, but I hope you won't mind a brief interlude from your uncle to see how you are all getting on! I've seen your father in the Ministry now and then, though have kept away from the Hogsmeade quarantine; still, I ought to be checking up on my nephews and nieces! You are all still well, I do hope?

I imagine you must have been given the new vaccination, by now? As Hogwarts staff, Elliot has had one too - though as your cousins have been back in Wales all summer, they've escaped most threat of the plague. You have been right in amongst it, though - I hope you have been taking care of yourself, and that you will have had the chance for some rest before the summer is over.

Recovering from a fire and a plague are likely excuse enough for you to neglect letter replies, but I am sure you know that a small update would not go amiss to alleviate the concerns of an old codger like me!
