Charming is a Victorian Era Harry Potter roleplay set primarily in the village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the non-canon village of Irvingly. Characters of all classes, both magical and muggle — and even non-human! — are welcome.
With a member driven story line, monthly games and events, and a friendly and drama-free community focused on quality over quantity, the only thing you can be sure of is fun!
"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.

Hello my name is Beanie and I am at the moment being deliberately vague about the actual assignment. Please follow suit until Kayte tells us. <3
Wand at the ready, Andren led his ducklings students into the forest. Seeing as one of them was a prefect and another was Winterdowne, one of his chasers, he wasn't too worried - but he'd also be expelled if one of them died, and he had no interest in that.
It had been sunny in the clearing, but there was a bit of a breeze in the actual forest. "Don't run off, now," Andren warned, "Though of course you're all too smart for that - right?"
Clarissa was admittedly straying the tiniest bit but not so badly that she was falling too far behind. She had no wish to be eaten by something so she was always only a few steps away from the others. She had not seen any creatures yet though hopefully the others wouldn't be gits and would alert their other group members if they saw something for them to record in their logs.
"Of course, Mister Lovegood," she answered as the head boy spoke to the lot of them.
Pandora did not particularly know Mr. Yaxley or Miss Cosgrove beyond the fact that they had shared classes together, but had been quite pleased when assigned to Mr. Lovegood—an already exciting class would be all the better in such company!
A smile seemed as if plastered to her face as she followed close behind the other Hufflepuff, eager to go into the forest—an experience she hadn’t yet had. “You’re just as easily distracted as any of us,” she teased lightly. “Perhaps we should be keeping an eye on you.”

"I am a responsible seventh year," Andren said in a lofty tone, though he was grinning broadly at his chaser, "Not so easily redirected as to be distracted by - squirrel!"
The red squirrel, who was perched in a low-hanging branch on a nearby tree, was looking at them curiously. Andren put his hands on his hips and waited for his ducklings students to do the required observations.
Guess who didn't see this until just now? I blame the tagging system, not my own failure.
Nigel was what could only be described as a mardy bum. He trailed behind the rest of the group - not too far behind, mind, he didn't want to seem too antisocial - and did not jump at the chance to have a laugh with the Hufflepuffs.
He did however laugh at the sudden exclamation of the word 'squirrel'. It was so random and odd and he suddenly did want to join in, strangely. "A squirrel?" asked back, in a slightly amused tone. "Out of all things, you got distracted by a squirel? I think Miss Winterdowne's right, I think we're the responsible ones."
It did help Miss Winterdowne's case that Mr Lovegood did seem to be completely ridiculous, Nigel thought as he began to return to his formerly moody state.
Clarissa had not taken Mister Lovegoods comment about his personal responsible nature seriously as she had assumed him to be merely teasing. Justin often did the same so she was used to such things. Though she did smile slightly as the older boy pointed out a squirrel. Oh, they were expected to log a squirrel in their logs? She had been hoping for something a little more ... interesting.
At her house and yearmates comment, she had to laugh a little. She was quite fond of Hufflepuffs, truth be told. Had been ever since the flooding and she knew most could take a good bantering session. Right, the log. Taking out her logbook, she peered at the squirrel as it seemed to find them of interest. All for the good as that meant they could observe it right back.
"I am distracted by an academically relevant squirrel," Andren said, grinning brightly, "When you're all done with that we can move on to something that is more, uh, adventurous." Hopefully nothing too adventurous; this was after all the Forbidden Forest, and Andren was not especially fond of the thought of running into a vampire or anything even less savory.
Mister Lovegood seemed to be an amusing bloke and his wit did not go unappreciated by her. Really, this whole excursion would be boring if their leader was a bore. Thankfully, he did not seem to be one. An academically relevant squirrel, was it? Clarissa continued to peer at it for a bit longer before writing down her observations about the critter into her book. It wasn't exactly riveting information and she hoped Mister Lovegood would prove correct and they would encounter creatures mildly more interesting. She had no thoughts of tangling with griffins or something but something a tad bigger than a squirrel and perhaps a smidge more dangerous would suffice.
