Cedric Humphrey vs. Tristan Carmichael

[Lila Pearson]

As always, Lila read out the rules to the students before her. Without much hesitation, she spoke: "Mr. Humphrey you may begin."

Oliver and Jack had been paired together, but Ced was luckily facing one of the Gryffindor prefects, instead of one of his friends.

Deciding that casting would be made a lot more difficult without teeth, Ced casted: “Infrendeo!”

[Tristan Carmichael]

Tristan always loved a good duel so he found his heart pounding in excitement as he stepped up and bowed to his opponent.

As the other boy cast first Tristan countered with a shield spell

"Protego!" He yelled hoping to deflect the Huffelpuffs spel

  

[Lila Pearson]

Both spells were executed perfectly, Lila thought, but even still it did not stop Mr. Carmichael from losing his teeth at the hands of Mr. Humphrey. "Mr. Humphrey wins this round - Mr. Carmichael please begin when you are ready." She spoke after casting a spell that would undo the disappearance of his teeth.

[Tristan Carmichael]

Tristan took a deep breath, it seemed as if this was going to be a duel. He just hope'd he'd be able to win the next around so that it at least dragged on a little longer. If he was going to be beaten the first round he wanted to at least make a good show of it.

He always been better on the Offence any way so raising his wand high he cast a charm that would turn the boys hands into fins.

Cedric casted a shield charm that would deflect Carmichael's spell back at him.

It seemed that Mr. Carmichael's spell - though presumably cast properly - would see its damage done to himself rather than his opponent. Due to this, Lila could only name the other young man the victor. "Mr. Humphrey wins the duel!"
