    Frederick Humphrey-Mavis vs. Godric Slughorn
    #1
Slughorn had fared fairly well in the previous round, but Morty had little idea of how much competition this gentleman would be. Well, they would see! "If everyone is happy with the rules, then let's begin! Lord Corcrest, if you will." He was rather proud of himself for actually remembering the man's apparent title, if he had even got that right.

They got his name right! Freddie immediately decided he like this man better than the french prat who had judged the last round.

    He attempted a knockback jinx.

Freddie is formally introduced as 'Viscount Corcrest', but in conversation and in letters is called 'Lord Corcrest' the first time, and afterwards alternatively 'My Lord'

Haha, a lord. For someone who was unironically named after a Hogwarts founder, Godric sure was judgey of other people's titles.

Godric cast a shield charm, which was boring but would hopefully get the job done.

It was always a question of speed with a shield charm, and if that was what Mr. Slughorn had been trying, he had been much too late: he had already been propelled backwards, the wind knocked out of him by the forceful jinx. "The first point to Lord Corcrest!" Morty exclaimed. "Mr. Slughorn, whenever you're ready."

Well that was unfortunate. Luckily for Godric, offense had always been his strong suit - as had, of course, perpetual faith in himself.

He cast a pumpkin-head jinx on Lord Corcrest.

Freddie attempted to hit his opponent with a sudden gust of wind to knock him off his feet.

Whilst Lord Corcrest's gust of wind had been very well expelled from his wand, it had gone gusting off in entirely the wrong direction (something that was, in fairness, to be expected when its caster had just been blinded by a pumpkin). Therefore, then, scoring was simple. "Mr. Slughorn takes this round! Lord Corcrest, if you would begin the tiebreaker."

    Freddie didn’t like pumpkin.

He attempted a jinx to make Slughorn actually grow a pair of horns and slug antennae.

    Jenny is so creative.

Lord Corcrest's spell hit Slughorn and there he was, all of a sudden, as his unfortunate namesake. Morty tried not to laugh as he announced, "Lord Corcrest takes the duel!"
