Appearance:
Standing at 5' 2 and 3/4" (that 3/4 of an inch is important!!), Molly Midgley likes to think that she is tall. Mostly because as a maid she needs to be able to reach some pretty high spots and would like to do so without standing on stools or jumping up and down. She'd never get any work done otherwise! She's pretty frugal and only spends on what she needs and what would be appropriate for work. Otherwise, she makes most of the clothes she wears - usually taking something old and making it as new and nice as possible. She doesn't wear much color because clothes in dark or neutral are the best in her line of work and every day life. (Soot and mud does tend to make pretty things unappealing.) Molly is a brunette with brown eyes - nothing that would make her stand out very much unless she's in a room full of blonds and gingers. Her wand hand is her left hand.
History:
1862 - Molly Maureen is the last and youngest of the Midgley brood, born on the 20th of January. She's looks about as cute as any baby, all wrinkles and resembling a pink, screaming raisin. Molly might have also proven then how strong her grip is too, by yanking off someone's hair and leaving a bald spot. Or maybe that happened when she was three...
1864 - Turns out she was two when she yanked someone's hair out and left a bald spot behind. She can't really remember who it was but it might have been a relative of some sort that probably pinched her cheeks one too many times.
1866 - Molly grows up not really knowing her two eldest siblings because Hannah was sent away before the girl was old enough to remember her and Robert was at Hogwarts. Therefore, and despite George being nearest to her in age, Molly pretty much sees Mary as her role model and primary caretaker (she loves her mum but mum didn't have much time for her). She still adores George though because he's still around and can be fun at times.
1869 - Molly hates them all briefly because she's the only one left who hasn't gone to Hogwarts until Robert is pulled out and comes home for like a second.
1873 - Molly is off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff.
1875 - It takes her while to get the hang of magic but Charms quickly becomes her favorite class and it turns out that she's very skilled at Charms, especially when it comes to home and life stuff. She also offered herself as a working seamstress to some of her fellow students in order to make some money.
1877 - Well those were some short years! She is pulled from Hogwarts and is disappointed at the loss of her small business on the side. Molly returns home briefly to see her parents and help them out a bit.
1879 - Tired of her folks and hearing about the new settlement, the young woman sets herself up to be a maid in Hogsmeade. Mostly because Hogsmeade is brand spanking new and there has to be a lot of jobs available for maids or seamstresses!
1883 - She hops around as a maid for a bit in a couple of households but nothing lasts long. She works at the Three Broomsticks for a couple of years before landing a permanent position at Rosa Lee Teabag.
1885 - Molly has been at Rosa Lee Teabag for some time and hopes to stay there for a long while. She's thinking of maybe even setting up a second job for herself as a seamstress.
Personality:
She is a dim girl and it does take her a bit of time to learn new things but overall isn't put down by it. Instead, she is a cheerful sort of person. Molly is a half-full and can be really optimistic even in the worst of times. She likes to try and make the most of whatever bad situation she finds herself in. She is kind and sweet but not likely to be led astray and like her eldest brother has high moral standards and is a hard worker. She's determined to make her own way in the world and knows that better to prepare to be a spinster than to worry about a husband. (She still has a couple of years left to try for marriage and family though and hasn't completely given up on the idea of finding her 'happily ever after'.) Despite being a bit silly, Molly greatly looks up to her elder sister and tries to be more like her. As much as she loves all of her family member to bits, Mary has been a pretty solid role model for most of her life so far and it isn't likely to change any time soon. (Personality mostly provided by Rosa with some fillers by me XD)
