The Hungry Hungry... Professor

[Mason Skeeter]

Set during the lockdown and Mason has no actual fucking clue what's going on, only that he wants to go eat something. Open to 2+ people!

The end of the year was a bit of a nightmare- Mason was glas he wasn't the one responsible for grading OWL and NEWT tests, that was for sure. He was sick and tired of grading end-of-the-year assignments though. Maybe next year he just wouldn't assign any, wouldn't everybody be happier that way?

On a sigh and a growl of his stomach, he shoved away from the desk in his office and meandered out to Greenhouse one, intent on heading inside to grab something to eat. Only - he couldn't open the door! His first immediate thought was Peeves, but no, the poltergeist couldn't reach him out here (most of the reason he stayed out here the majority of his time), so that was truly baffling. He attempted a few things to get out both of the doors, the one to the grounds and the one to Greenhouse Two but, neither seemed to be budging.

Well that was unfortunate. He wondered if there was anybody else roaming around this house working on projects. He thought he'd heard somebody working out in the greenhouse at one point- all students had an open door invitation to this particular greenhouse, but he wasn't very good at keep track of traffic. "Anyone else in here?" Mason called out, wondering if he was indeed alone for whatever it was that was going on.

  

[Oliver Trask]

Examinations were done, but Oliver and Frank were toiling away in Greenhouse One even now, finishing the last bits of their last Herbology assignment for the year. Neither of the boys were prone to leaving assignments til the last minute, but so many things had piled on top of one another that Oliver hadn't really had a choice in the matter! At least next year he wouldn't have Junior League practice to worry about, which would free up his time and energy on Saturdays once again for work. It occurred to him as he packed up his gloves how sort of sad that thought was, but oh well. No one said school was supposed to be easy.

He had just finished packing up his bag when Professor Skeeter called out from the direction of the doors. Oliver had thought he heard the rattling of someone trying (and failing) to open the door, but he couldn't be sure.

"Trask and Hooch, over here," Oliver called out. He wasn't sure if the professor could see them through the greenery, but he gave a quick wave anyway. "We were just leaving." He hadn't realized how late it had gotten, but the sudden growl from his stomach told him it must be nearing dinnertime.

[Frank Hooch]

Somehow for reasons unknown to Frank, he had missed some homework. It was probably something to do with his near constant revision that he had been doing for ages, and with even Oliver forgetting too, it had just not happened. And seeing as the two were swots, they of course couldn't finish the year on such a sour note, so they were finishing it off.

Upon hearing Professor Skeeter call out, Frank looked in that direction. What an odd thing to call out, unless he was locking the greenhouses up for the day or something, but it seemed rather early for that. Frank remained silent though, because there was no need for him to speak.

  

[Zelda Fisk]

Zelda had gone to retrieve the boys, who had apparently forgotten to do some coursework. (Ha. She had had no such problems, but she was also less psychotically busy than Oliver, and less revision crazed than Frank.)

Stalking through Greenhouse One for them, she came to a pause only when she heard Professor Skeeter call out, followed by of course Oliver - so that's where he was, the bloody place was filled with far too many plants for her to have a good line of sight.

"Fisk as well!" Zelda called, waving one hand high above her head. "Just here to fetch those two."

Apparently Mason wasn't anywhere near alone in the greenhouse, and as he moved to where the voices were coming from, he had to wonder about the doors though. "I doubt you'll be going anywhere, we seem to be locked in." He said as he found the trio of Hufflepuffs in the greenhouse.

"The doors seem to have sealed themselves." Mason was out of the loop for a professor, but that was to be expected when he spent the majority of his time out in the greenhouses rather than in the actual castle. "Miss Fisk did you notice anything peculiar on your way down?" She had been the last one outside at least, she might know better than he did.

  

[Oliver Trask]

Zelda and Professor Skeeter appeared in short order. Oliver couldn't help but raise his brows in curiosity when the professor announced that the doors had been sealed. Was this yet another prank from Peeves? Oliver had rather thought the poltergeist had done enough damage for one school year -- but then he remembered that his reach didn't extend beyond the castle, ruling him out as the cause this time.

"Sealed? I didn't even know they could do that," Oliver said, bemused.

  

[Frank Hooch]

Frank remained silent again because he once again felt no need to talk still, as he was more curious in Zelda's response.

Ladies and ladies, you spent two weeks almost waiting for that shitty reply. Just think about that.

  

[Zelda Fisk]

Zelda shook her head. "Business as usual," she confirmed, "Well, also a third year with a fanged frisbee, but that's nothing particularly strange." As far as she knew, fanged frisbees couldn't shut down Hogwarts - but as far as she knew, this had never actually happened at Hogwarts before!

She was more peeved than she was concerned, really. After all, she was hungry.

At least the students didn't see any need to panic. Mason thought he should probably be worried, considering the doors only sealed themselves in the event of an emergency, he also highly doubted he was going to get any information regarding the matter any time soon. They were perfectly safe in here anyway, as Greenhouse One was fairly small and there was nowhere for anyone or anything to hide.

"Interesting- not the Frisbee, but yes, they do seal themselves in case of emergency." Mason felt his stomach grumble and he longingly looked toward the small vegetable patch the first years had been working on.
