    Hannah--

I don't see why you feel the need to lie about it. I can understand, of course, that you might be concerned that your reputation would never recover if everyone knew how unladylike you had behaved this summer, but you should have thought of that before you did it!

I wish I'd kept that blasted dog collar you sent me so that I would have proof to show everyone what a scoundrel you are for pretending it never happened! Honestly! I hope the piece in the paper gave you a lot of personal satisfaction, because that's all it could possibly have done; everyone knows how ridiculous your story is.

    Miss Dippet,
Merlin, I know it must be terribly embarrassing for you to be known as the Dog Girl now, but that's no reason to take it out on me! I'm honestly not even sure what you're talking about; your interview varies so much from what I recall happening. I seem to recall that you stole from me, went out of your way to mock me, and made baseless accusations about me and my future. Really, if I truly ever acted so beastly to you, I don't see why you should have to make up stories about stolen trinkets and dog collars just to garner sympathy. Maybe you really should have a healer look at you, if your memory is so addled!

You know, I almost pity you. I can't imagine how miserable your life must be, for you to be so fixated on ruining mine. At least what's left of my family would notice if I'd gotten turned into a dog.
