    Something was off in her forest.

    A cool breeze played with the loose tendrils of her hair as she padded barefoot between the trunks of the massive trees. The sun had just set and everything was cast in a purple glow. The birds that had yet to settle into their nests silenced their chirps as she passed beneath. At first, the rejection the animals had given her had disconcerted her. But that was over a century ago and she had grown used to it since then - welcomed, it even. Alice had discovered that she did not like it when things were noisy without needing to be.

    There were others of her kind in the forest. She knew that - had met them, conversed with them, but not once had she ever truly trusted them. Vampires were a slippery bunch, especially when it came to satisfying their own wishes.

    She smelled them before she saw them. Knowing that it was likely that they sensed her as well, she stopped her pacing, clasped her hands behind her back and offered a youthful, chilling smile the moment that they came into sight.

    "Good evening, Andreas," She said coolly as her eyes dissected the female that was with him, "Who is this?"

    Let me know if this is alright! @'Odette Hoch' @'Andreas Hoch' @'Mathias Beaumont' @'Ezra Fairclough'

    Odette as a human had been very meek and week. She never spoke unless spoken to, and she often feared those who stood much taller than her—especially men. Odette as a vampire, while now strong enough to defend herself from most humans, still remained ever so anxiety-ridden and nervous.

    As she and Andreas approached the smaller vampire, Odette felt something sickening pool around in her stomach. While the child vampire appeared small and innocent, the way she spoke told Odette that this vampire was much beyond her years. How unsettling, she thought, holding onto the male's arm tighter.

    The child vampire first spoke to Andreas, and Odette waited for him to introduce her to the smaller creature. Her eyes moved up to her creator's face, searching for any signs of uneasiness or uncertainty. He obviously knew the other vampire—she spoke his name—but that didn't mean they were on good terms.

    Andreas had appreciated that Odette had gone unnoticed by the other vampires for so long. It gave Odette and him a chance to adapt to their new situation. It also gave him time to think about how he was going to explain everything should another vampire ask. He still felt very foolish for what happened, but he couldn’t deny that he enjoyed Odette’s company. And the time they spent together, they spent talking and becoming better acquainted with each other.

    He had hoped that this time would last longer, but it wasn’t meant to be. He could smell Alice and she was coming closer. With a resigned sigh, he waited for the inevitable. When she appeared, the atmosphere shifted. She looked young and innocent, but Alice was dangerous. She often made the hair on Andreas’s neck stand on end.

    When she greeted him, he nodded. “Good evening, Alice. This is Miss Odette Ravenhurst.” He looked at Odette. “Odette, this is Alice.”

    Sorry for the delay! >_<;

    Andreas was once Wolfgang Diermissen. Wolfgang's name known in vampiric circles across Europe for his wild and violent killing sprees as a fledgling. The rest of the magical community is probably less aware of him and his name is not likely prominent in England. Obviously, no one knows Andreas is Wolfgang. Everyone thinks that Wolfgang Diermissen was killed about 200 years ago.

    Alice watched the interaction between the two vampires carefully. It was easy to note the element of dependence that the female seemed to have on Andreas. Her nervousness was apparent in the way that she clutched at his arm, as if her very existence depended on clinging to him - else she might drift away by some unforeseen current.

    "Odette Ravenhurst," She continued to unabashedly stare, "You smell young." This was phrased as a statement, rather than a question. The scent of human still clung to her in places. It would take months to finally drift away completely. It made Alice's hunting senses sharpen, though her taste was far too refined to be so desperate as to attack a new vampire. No, she had plenty of fresh, warm blood in her stores.

    Definitely didn't get the alerts for this. D: stupid glitchy tagging system
