Maddie saluted her opponant and then the ancient Runes professor, before taking a deep breath in preperation of casting.

She took her ready stance and then attempted to cast a disarming spell at the other girl.

Glitter attempts to use a silencing charm instead of attempting to use a shield. She wondered if her magic would do something weird and not do what she was trying to make it do.

"Miss Whitledge wins the first round and should now begin the second," he instructed.

Maddie was decent at charms work, certainly she enjoyed the class, so her action as the defender was to cast a shield charm!
