A single red carnation (“admiration”) with a white bow around the stem arrives via a Florist Potts owl. No note is attached.

Open to an LC or lower MC human female, aged 17-25, who visited the shop in the past two weeks and was pleasant and pretty. No prostitutes or slatterns.
Hiram's mute. Your character will know this if they are acquainted.

Penny pulled a face that was seen by no living thing other than the floral one in her hand, which was rather fortunate as the sheer shock would have suggested she had been sent a severed head rather than a carnation and it may have raised questions as to her levels of perspective.

Who the bloody hell would send her this? It had to be a joke, didn't it? She had about as much interest in flowers as she did mealworms and saw more purpose in the latter. In fact, she barely remembered the last time she had been around flowers except for...

A memory came to her then. Two weeks before she had been dragged to Florist Potts by a teammate who needed a last minute birthday present for her mother and she had caught the shopworker looking at her twice. He hadn't said anything stupid though - a rarity for a man as far as she was concerned - so she had graced him with a small smile rather than a scathing scowl.

But...why? And could it really be him?

She scowled to herself and bolted up to her bedroom to hide the flower. It was sort of pretty, she supposed, and it would be a shame to throw it away. What were you supposed to do though? Send a flower back? What said "Thanks and all, but what do you want?"

Perhaps saying it in person was the right thing to do.
