Somewhere, the rest of his classmates were attending classes. He wasn't even sure which classes, because he'd lost track of time, but it didn't make any difference. He wasn't planning on going to any of them today, half in protest, half because he honestly had better things to do. It wasn't as though he'd be able to focus on anything at the moment anyway; at least, not anything except what he was currently doing, which was plotting out how Slytherin could have any chance of winning a single match that year.

As per the newspaper article that morning, they'd be losing half their team; their seeker, one chaser, and both beaters. They had a keeper and two chasers who'd be staying; Declan Wood, Maximillian de Winter, and himself. Somehow, the three of them would have to find enough good recruits to try and train a whole roster before their first game.

Before him on the library table he had the roster for all of the teams laid out before him, with the female players crossed out. Gryffindor was in pretty dire straights, too, which meant at least his team wasn't the only one. They'd only lost three players, but one of them had been their captain, so hopefully that hit them harder. Hufflepuff wasn't in bad shape at all, and Ravenclaw--well, he didn't even want to think about Ravenclaw. "Stupid bookworms," he mumbled, shoving the Ravenclaw roster to the other side of the table. He usually bore Ravenclaw no ill will, but he was honestly frustrated at any non-Slytherin Quidditch team at the moment.

He pulled his list of potential Slytherin recruits closer, cross-checking them against whom he thought the most likely Gryffindor candidates would be. He briefly wondered if Slughorn could be persuaded to play Quidditch, or at least to try out. They'd need every man they could get. "Bollocks," he mumbled under his breath. "They could have given us some warning at least. Merlin's beard."

Noelle had for once a free period. It was not that rare as a sixth year, less classes to worry about, but she had promised herself that she needed to think about some of the huge amounts of homework she had. Holding her bag close while walking around in the library searching for some books she could use to make her homework easier and better. Noelle had a lot to live up to a lot. Her siblings had done seemingly well and she had to do just as well or her parents would scold her to NO end. She would not go through that if she could avoid it, so she had decided to use a lot of time on her homework.

After finding four books she thought she could use she searched for a table where she would be able to sit and look through the books. Most of the tables were taken by Ravenclaws or Gryffindors. While Noelle was not the biggest blood purist, she was very keen on not getting seen with non-Slytherin people. In her head, if they were worthy of getting into Slytherin house, then blood did not matter that much. Of course she preferred to be seen with pure-blood upper-class but it was not that important to her. The only place she could find where she might be able to find some place was next to a Slytherin boy, if she remembered correct one of the quidditch players. Okay, not the worst case she thought and began her walk towards him.

"Hello, is there hopefully a bit of place to me?" she asked with a calm voice, if he said no, she would probably sit down anyway and just use even less place than she planned on right now. She took a quick look at the parchment that was on the table. "Okay, we definitely need some new players. Why are we the team that it hurts the most." She said slowly. She could not exactly help, she did not have any younger brothers that she could recommend. She was the youngest.

Harrison looked up as he was addressed, quite surprised (and frankly, a little annoyed) to have been reminded that he wasn't the only one in the library. Other people were doing homework and things here, as if that was what you were supposed to use a library for. He should have gone to the Common Room, he reflected, as during the day it would have been less traffic. On the other hand, if one of his professors sent someone out looking for him, the Quidditch Pitch and his Common Room would be the first places they would check. No one would ever think to look for him in the library.

"Yeah, I can see that," he said a bit testily to her comment about needing new players. What did it look like he was doing? Writing down althetlic Slytherin males just for kicks? Perhaps to organize a Slytherin male bruncheon? Harrison could not fathom, of course, that the paper that morning might have had consequences other than the Quidditch team, since these were clearly the most important.

"You can have that end if you like," he grumbled, moving a few of the papers on the other end of the table into a slightly neater stack to give her a bit of room.

Noelle smiled, she was not exactly the most suitable to talk about quidditch with, she had never understood all the finer movements but she had been proud of the Slytherin quidditch team and she trusted they would rise with a new strong team. But she knew it would be very hard, to all the persons included. She just wished she could help them more than she could, but one; she had never been much for actually playing quidditch, two; she was a female so according to the new ban she was not allowed to play quidditch.

"Look, we just have to face the fact and make the team strong again. I wished I could help, please say if there is anything." She said slowly and opened one of her books after having placed it carefully on the table. She looked in the book, deciding she was not in the mood for studying. She closed the book again, giving up immediately. She wanted to have a conversation with him, but at the same time she did not want to disturb him trying to save the Slytherin honor.

She decided to just look at him trying to make it work. She went through her mental list of the boys in Slytherin, to see who might be a possibility. "What about Starling?" she suddenly asked.

Starling is an NPC I just made up

Harrison frowned at her statement about facing the facts. He didn't know this girl, except that she looked vaguely familiar (they probably shared a house), so her speaking so frankly to him was not expected nor exactly welcomed. They had to face the facts--well, what did it look like he was doing? He certainly wasn't living in a fantasy world over at his end of the table. He was facing some cold, hard, facts; and the facts were that Ravenclaw was basically a shoe-in for the house cup.

"No, it's fine," he assured her, but that didn't stop her from making suggestions. He didn't really want to talk to anyone right now--if he had to pick a social interaction, it would have been punching a Ravenclaw player in the face. As it was, receiving suggestions for players from a girl he'd, to his knowledge, never spoken to before was certainly not helpful.

Still, he took a moment to consider Starling. "I don't think he's in for Quidditch," he told her. From what he knew, Starling's parents wanted him to have a more serious career, and so didn't approve of his spending time on anything aside from his studies. "If we could get him to try out he might make a decent beater, but he'd never tried out before. I don't think he's got an interest."

Noelle bit her lip. She knew there had to be someone she could help with. Okay so she had never actually paid that much attention to the boys on the school, she knew that her parents would choose her future husband, so what was the point in looking at boys now. "You can always try. I have to say, the male population on the school is not exactly what has kept me busy the last five years." She said slowly, a bit embarrassed. Why was she embarrassed, she was a Selwyn for crying out loud.

"How rude of me. I am Noelle Selwyn." She said politely, finally realizing that she had not introduced herself. Her parents would probably not be that thrilled that she introduced herself to a male without a common friend to do the formal introduction, but right now Noelle did not care. They were both Slytherin and that was enough reason for her to be friendly and polite towards him. That he played quidditch was only a bonus in her thoughts.

Glancing up from his paper as she introduced herself, Harry gave the girl a glance-over, trying to figure out if he would know her from anywhere other than this chance meeting in the library. A bit of a green poking out of her wardrobe meant she was probably a fellow Slytherin, though not one from his class. By fifth year, Harrison knew he could at least recognize the boys and girls that shared his house and year. The rest of his housemates or the rest of his yearmates were debatable. He had very singular attention; he could recite the rosters of all four Quidditch teams for the past two years, but he would be hard pressed to say how many children were in his Charms class at present.

The name Selwyn sounded vaguely familiar. Maybe it was one of those old pureblood households he was always hearing so much about. Or maybe she had a relative who played professional Quidditch. Either seemed equally likely as far as he was concerned. "Harrison Primpernelle," he said with a short bow of his head, though his quill was still perched in position, ready to keep making changes to potential rosters. He was evaluating the Gryffindor team at present.

Looking back down at his work, he made a sort of apologetic gesture with one hand and said, "Look, I don't mean to be rude," hoping that she would know what he meant without asking. Just do you homework or whatever so that I can get back to this, please.

Noelle tried to connect his name with something she knew. She was positive that he was a Quidditch player, but other than that it did not say her anything. That probably meant that he was not an important pureblood or upper-class, but to be honest, Noelle did not care. She had never cared that much for either blood or class, not in secret. To the public, especially around her parents, she was a strong blood-purist who did not have any wish to talk with anyone below her class. Being a Selwyn came with a certain responsibility and expectations and Noelle did not like it when people already have an opinion about her without having met her.

"Nice to meet you. And I understand." She said slowly and decided to leave him alone so he could try to figure out how to make a new strong team. She knew she should focus on her own homework, so without feeling even the slightest bit hurt or anything, she opened her book and began reading, searching for things she could need.
