Dear Benjamin,

I cannot say much as I am certain they will check my letters but I must implore you to convince your father to have me return home. You cannot imagine how dreadful it is here. It is beyond degrading and the way they look at me! They are going to kill me. You must force your father to get me out, you must! You know it was all the maid's plotting against me. I told you she would have me out of the way and look she has done it!

That evil hag would separate me from my boy but I will come home to you, Benjamin, even if your father has been seduced by her slatternly ways. No whore shall stop me from returning to my rightful place.

I miss you terribly, and I think Father atrocious for sending you away, especially to a place that is so dangerous! I think now that you were right about Polly all along, and I am sorry that I did not listen to you at the time. I am currently not speaking to Father as he is a horrendous traitor of the worst sort, but I will do my best to get you out of thereùI promise!
