dear Ayumi,

I can not believe that only in a few days my life became so different. From Iphigenia Clerck I became Iphigenia Hamilton and now I have to call two strangers 'mother' and 'father'. I can not believe that Jonathan and Emma went to Azkaban, that the woman who I concidered as my mother died a few days ago. George Hamilton says that they kidnapped me, but Emma told me that they found me crying in a dark street. I don't know who tells the truth...

George Hamilton treats me well, but I know that all these sweet words were lies. He bought me presents and clothes, I have one of the biggest bedrooms in his house but I know that they are fake. I am sure that he searches a husband for me right now, he wants to get rid of me and an arranged marriage seems like the perfect way to do it. I just hope that he won't choose someone even older than him.

My brother, Rupert. Well he tries to be good with me but he is George's son so it is difficult for me to love him. I feel guilty that I speak so cold to him, but Emma Clerck died because of his father, so it is really difficult for me to forgive him and his family. At least there is someone in that huge house who doesn't hate me. Well me mother, Isabelle is kind to me too, but in my mind, my mother is Emma, so it is difficult to accept another woman as a mother.

Now tell me, how are you, my dear friend. I am so glad that you finished Hogwarts, now we can go for walks around Hogsmeade, even in Padmore Park? Do you find your life as a debutante difficult?

Dear Iphigenia!

I do realize that your transition must have been hard, but maybe the Gods wanted you to follow that path in your life for your reason? I am a firm believer that nothing happens with no reason. There is always a greater purpose behind things, even if we do not see it. If you ask me for opinion, I would sooner say that Mr. Hamilton is lying than your parents. I remember Emma very well and I know she would never have lied to you. Of course, that does not change the fact that the Hamilton's are your family now. There is nothing you can do, just accept it, my dear. Unless you want me to use my father's money and look into it. I do not advise that, though. Try and be grateful for what you have and had, do not think bad of those people.

As far as marriage goes, I overheard him talking with father and your name was mentioned. It is possible that he might want you to marry my brother. I do not know what my father said, though, so I am just guessing. Do not fear, my dear friend! Everything will fall to place finally, your life included. When it comes to Rupert, I can assure you he is a good boy...or young man, whichever you prefer. I happen to know him and, well, as you know, he is the object of my affections. I might be a little biased, but I know Rupert and if you are looking for a friend in this house û he's the perfect choice. He is loyal and kind and will protect you if needed. Just trust me with this one, alright darling?

As for the life after Hogwarts û for now I can't complain. I finally got to meet my step-grandmother, who turned out to be a far nicer woman than I expected. She's French, so she understands that I sometimes feel not at home here. A life of a debutante is busy, far more than you have told me! Not that I am complaning, but with all of the plans my parents have for me I doubt I would find the time to walk with you sooner than in July! Sad, isn't it?
