Appearance:

Nettie may not be the most beautiful, exotic-looking girl on the planet, but she sure does make an attempt to look as nice as possible—at least as much as a lower class girl can. She stands a little over four foot, ten inches tall, and weighs no more than ninety five pounds. She has a skinny build with almost non-existent curves, but she attempts to dress herself to appear to have a larger bosom and bottom. Despite her short height, she does appear older than her actual age, her facial features being more mature and her toned limbs.

Nettie has wavy, blonde hair that hangs down to her breasts and pale, almost mint green eyes. She doesn't have her hair up like most of the women during the time did, rather opting to have her long hair hang down in a braid or ponytail. She dresses in the plainest, tattered dresses, usually in her maid outfit for her job. She always uses her left hand with her wand.

History:

Antoinette Stratton, called Nettie from the day she was came into the world, was born to parents Edmund and Patricia Stratton on March 10th, 1868. Her mother, Patricia, was an upper class woman who fell to the lower class after having premarital affairs with her family's stable boy, Edmund, and Edmund had been working for the Newman family since he was seventeen years old. Patricia was disowned before she graduated Hogwarts, so the two were married while she was sixteen and Edmund twenty two.

Nettie showed her first sign of magic when she was two years old, just after her younger brother, Edmund II, was born. Nettie had been watching her mother struggle to reach something from the side of her bed, and because Nettie was too short, she was unable to reach it for her mother. After getting upset after seeing her mother get upset, the cup magically floated towards Patricia floated towards the bed. Edmund II didn't survive his childhood, passing away from influenza when he was three years old.

In 1874, Nettie's youngest brother, Leopold, came into the world. Patricia had a complicated pregnancy full of pain and abnormal bleeding, so it was surprising that her labor wasn't a complicated one. Leopold was loved just as much as Nettie, but both of her parents feared that their only living son wouldn't survive childhood. Luckily, Leopold survived long enough to see the birth of his younger sister, Emma, in November of 1876.

In 1877, the Stratton family packed up their things from their small shack in London and moved to Hogsmeade in Scotland, purchasing a very small shack where Patricia shared a room with her husband and Nettie, Leopold, and Emma all shared a bed with one another. Nettie wasn't exactly thrilled with having to leave her home, and it was evident that she didn't care too much for change, but she adjusted smoothly to her new home.

During the summer of 1879, Nettie received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Unlike most children, Nettie wasn't very excited about having to leave home for the whole year, so she tried to tell her parents she didn't want to go. Patricia wanted her daughter to receive her magical education, but Edmund didn't really care, and in the end she was allowed not to attend her schooling. Instead, she began working as a cleaning girl for a small shop.

During late December of 1883, Nettie began working for Tessa Van Patten as a maid in her brothel. She had considered becoming a prostitute of the sort, but had decided that she didn't want to give up her virtue and sleep with multiple men for money. Her family, all working together, made enough money for them to live off of and she didn't want to go to extremes to bring in a higher income for the household. Because she did not attend Hogwarts, she asked one of her friends who had a NEWT-level education to teach her a few cleaning charms and spells, and after a good four months of training, she was able to make dishes wash themselves and brooms sweep for themselves.
