NEWLY WED (WIDOWED?) MRS. TRIBBLY FOUND
REPORTEDLY ALIVE AND WELL, BUT TERRIBLY DISTRESSED |
After three weeks in which the strange disappearance of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Tribbly had yet to be resolved, the Daily Prophet is pleased to announce that Mrs. Lucretia Tribbly, age 21, had been found alive and well, having been returned to Hogsmeade a few days ago by Bath resident Llewellyn Lyonell who had supposedly discovered the young wife wandering the streets alone, “looking a bit harried and very bewildered as if something had greatly traumatized her”.
The Wimbledons, of course, are immensely relieved by their daughter’s safe return -- and had given Mr. Lyonell a fairly hefty reward as a sign of their gratitude -- and report that she is doing rather well physically, though is still highly shaken and quite confused. In fact, according to a source close to both families, Mrs. Tribbly had adamantly refused to speak to the Aurors who had come seeking questions about her husband’s whereabouts, and rather than live with her husband’s family in Wellingtonshire as was originally planned, she had opted to return to her own in Bartonburg. |
It is suspected that she desired to be around close friends and family during this difficult time.
Mrs. Lucretia Tribbly was, as expected, unavailable for comment, though her mother-in-law had something to say.
“Whatever has happened,” said Mrs. Theodora Tribbly, 52, “Lucretia’s reaction indicates that it must have been something terrible, and I am now even more overcome with concern for my poor son’s safety. Is he alive? Is he dead? Or perhaps is lying injured and unconscious somewhere? These are the questions I yearn to seek answers to, but none seem to be forthcoming!”
We’re all wondering the same thing, Mrs. Tribbly, and we at the Daily Prophet sincerely hope that the Aurors and other investigators discover Mr. Timothy Tribbly’s whereabouts soon and pray for his wife’s swift recovery from her mysterious ordeal. AUTHOR: IAN PENGLOSS |
