Isotta Ellesborough vs. Delight Urquart

Merry thought it silly to reread the rules when both of the girls had made it to the second round.

Isotta had been very careful not to rub it in to Seneca when she had won, but the Slytherin would afford the eldest Miss Urquart no such courtesy when she was victorious yet again.

She curtsied politely to the Hufflepuff before moving to transfigure her shoes into class, Cinderella-style.

Delight produced a rosebud from her pocket and attempted a charm that would make it look like it was on fire, whilst still being intact.

Both spells were incredibly well-cast, but it was Miss Urquart who had the edge, given her superior experience.

"Miss Urquart takes the round and may begin the second."

Delight attempted to dissolve the burning rose into a cloud of coloured powder.

BOO HISS. Isotta did not like to lose. She moved to transfigure her glass slippers into glass ice skates because why not.

This time the older girl's spell was rather unimpressive. The blonde's on the other hand, was both well-cast and creative.

"Miss Ellesborough takes the second round and may begin the tie breaking one."

Now that was more like it! With a triumphant grin, Isotta’s last move was to attempt to transfigure one of her ringlets into a snake—Slytherin pride and all that.

Delight attempted to transfigure the coloured powder into several tiny, multi-coloured birds.

Miss Ellesborough's attempt was perhaps a little over-ambitious. She only managed to transfigure one fifth of the ringlet. Miss Urquart's display, on the other hand, was well cast and pretty.
