    Dear Brynn,

The most awful thing is going to happen to me. My beastly husband has conspired with Mrs. Pendergast and I'm going to be sent to finishing school. I know I wished to go once, but that was before I was married and as much as I want to spend more time with you, my pride can't bear it. Everything is awful, I'm so miserable I think I shall die. I wish I would die of misery.

Whoever heard of a married woman at finishing school? Oh Brynn, I can't bear it! I can't! Everyone but you shall sneer and laugh at me. And the gossip! I would rather be expecting than go to finishing school married. I would sooner be married to a goblin, a goblin would definitely be better than Tiberius.

    My Dear Antigone,

Oh Merlin! That is terrible! That must be why Pendergast seemed so happy this morning! I bet you she planned it all and convinced her mother to convince your husband, the little imp!

They won't sneer at you - they wouldn't dare. I won't let them, I assure you! They'll have to respect you, as a married woman. You can technically chaperon them, so they owe you their respect!

plot twist: Ellory wasn't even smiling that morning, Brynn will just accuse her of everything wrong in the world from now on. xD

    Dear Brynn,

I'm so glad you shall be there, I don't think I could bear it if you weren't.

I know they shall talk behind my back about me and goodness knows what else, and I won't be allowed to do anything about it. Do you think I'll have to share a room with someone?

It's just not fair, everyone seems to have forgotten that I didn't even start that fight!

    My Dear Antigone,

If they talk we can just go tell Mrs. Pendergast - that will shut them up!

We all share rooms. They might put you in the same room as your sister-in-law - I think her room is empty at present. But don't you worry! It's a suite and it overlooks the garden!

    Dear Brynn,

I hope I don't have to share a room with Tatiana, she'll probably spy on me and send Tiberius letters detailing every wrong breath I draw!

I swear I have joined the worst family ever, Brynn. It's like a horror novel, they'll probably all conspire to kill me next. I hardly know why I'm surprised, my father-in-law was a violent serial killer! It has been wonderful being your best friend, I hope you remember me fondly.

    My Dear Antigone,

She wouldn't do that! Besides, I'm sure Mrs. Pendergast would do that for her anyway, so who cares? She can write to Tiberius all she wants!

I won't let them kill you! If you suspect that they're planning to do that I'll help you escape. I'm sure we could hide you. We have a manor in Wiltshire, you could hide there!

    Dear Brynn,

You really are the best friend I could ever wish for. It'll be nice being at school together again. You must have more friends there than Miss Pendergast since you've been there longer, maybe it won't be so terrible.

It'll also be nice to be away from Tiberius, hopefully the house will catch fire or something while I'm away and I'll be widowed. Fancy that, married and widowed all before I'm twenty! That'd be hilarious.
