Finally the weather was nicer and Angie felt she could finally step outside without fear of freezing her toes off. She was definitely a fair weather creature, preferring the cozy indoors during the snow and rain. Though when it was as beautiful as it was outside today, it was very hard to remain inside, despite her never-ending urge to study. With OLWs looming over her head in just a few short weeks, she was putting in extra study time, even more than her usual amount.

That, and of course, she was avoiding her parents. It was absurd really, the whole thing, but Angie couldn't help but find herself furious with her mother and indignant at how accepting her father was. It was very hard for her accept that her mother had an affair with another man and was now pregnant by him. Perhaps though, what was even more frustrating was the fact that her father was elated to have another baby on the way. Wasn't she enough? Vampires were not suppose to have children in the first place. The mechanics of it just didn't make sense and so to avoid thinking about it, Angie had plunged deeper into her studies.

She had spread out one of her old cloaks on the ground beneath a giant Scottish pine, her back resting against it's rough bark. Her hair was up in a messy bun, her wand stuck through the middle to hold it in place. Angie was not usual so formal with her appearance, but it was rather early on this particular morning and she figured not many other people would be out. It was the weekend after all. Most of her peers were still sleeping, so she thought she'd take advantage of the grounds while they were quiet.

She lay on her stomach ankles crossed in the air behind her, one of the potions texts Elijah-Thomas had suggested she read before attempting her OWLs, open in front of her on the ground. She was mostly obscured by the tree if anybody was looking out their window this morning, as was her intention. The book she was reading had not been in the library, but one quick owl to her father with the request and the book appeared by supper the same day. It was a miracle what she could get out of her parents, even when she wasn't angry with them. Angie would admit she was quite spoiled by her parents, but was not ashamed by it. It wasn't as if she took advantage of them for trivial things; she almost always wanted meaningful things like books.

She had stopped by the almost-empty Great Hall for breakfast and had taken an apple with her when she left. She munched thoughtfully as she read, making notes in the margins seeing that she owned the book, recording her thoughts, things she noticed and questions she had in the free space beside the printed text. Angie was a true bookworm, but had no qualms about writing in books that were hers; they simply made them more her own.

Without any regard as to how much time as passed, she read, absorbing the material until a shadow fell across the pages. Looking up, briefly startled, she sat up immediately, covering her legs with her dress. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize anybody else was out here." She spouted quickly, though surely the other person should be sorry for interrupting her thoughts.
