" The kitchens, Declan. All the food is prepared here..." Trixie answered, as she stepped in. The House Elfs didn't stopped her, so she dared to walk deeper in the kitchen. Actually the little creatures were following her with her eyes. Probably they waited for a command." You", Trixie addressed a tiny house elf, which was holding a big spoon.," I want some, chocolate".

Trixie had never tasted chocolate, she once saw some rich girls eating it in the common room. It was a brown plaque, which seemed a little hard. Anyway, the girls seemed to enjoy eating it. Trixie never had the opportunity to eat sweets and she was sure that Declan either. The small house elf came near her, with a plate full of chocolates. Trixie took one, and and ate it. It was sweet but bitter the same time.

Trixie walked to Declan and whispered near his ear." You can take whatever you want, they will do anything to please you". Trixie smiled to the house elfs, as she picked up another bar of chocolate. She could even take some food and send her to her family. They were never hungry, only once, in winter, but they always had something to eat, even if it was only stale bread. Anyway, Trixie was sure that her cousins would love to eat some chocolate.

" Do you want some tea and cookies, Young Lady?" A house elf asked. " Sit here!" Another house elf asked. " Twinky will make some tea!" A small house elf yelled as she picked up a teapot. Trixie noticed that Twinky was wearing an old towel. Actually all the House Elfs around where wearing towels.

Declan watched the scene unfold before him. They were invited inside, Beatrice ordered some chocolate (Declan hadn't thought her to be someone who's bossy, but that proved him otherwise), then let Declan in on the secret, and then another one of the tiny things declared that they were going to make some tea. It was all odd and quite a bit to take in, but the first year decided to take it all in stride.

"I'll take some cookies," He decided, glancing around at all the tiny beings that surrounded them. They were really ugly creatures. He'd seen many ugly things in his eleven years, but never had he seen anything like this. He thought nothing of what they were wearing. He had seen people in the slums wear the very same thing. He merely assumed that they were just as poor as they.

A house elf shoved a plateful of cookies at him. He grinned eagerly as he accepted the plate.

Declan shoved a cookie in his mouth, "This is great!" There had to have been at least a hundred of the ugly beings around. What did they exactly do here? Wait on whoever happened to find them? It seemed like such a waste! Why hadn't he seen them around Hogwarts? It was all rather odd, but he didn't want his plate of cookies to be taken away, so he kept his mouth shut aside from shoving another cookie inside of it.

Beatrice gave Declan a smirk and bitted one biscuit." We won't be hungry again Declan. Never", Beatrice murmured and realized that her words were like a promise. She could come here and eat whenever she wanted, whenever she felt hungry. She could even send some to her family. But no, she had no family. They could live without her. Why share her own food with them? But it wasn't her food. She wasn't even allowed this food or manipulate the poor house elfs like this. But what she was supposed to do? She was hungry the whole time, while Headmaster Black and all the professors have plenty of food in their homes. They weren't going to miss all the food she was going to eat with Declan.

" House elf! I want some stew", Beatrice commanded one of the creatures with a huge smile on her lips. If the rich people could ask for anything and have in right away then it was really fun to be one. Trixie wanted all this never stop. She wanted to ask for anything and have it immediatly. It was so simple, you just ask and it is in front of your eyes. Trixie could ask anything. Money, new clothes, food, books. Parents. She missed them, even if she never met them. She knew that they were dead, but nothing more. Probably they were wizards too. Probably her father was a quiditch player and her mother a prefect. Probably there were proud for her right now. She didn't even knew where they graves were.

She tried to stop her tears. Why did she remembered them? She should be happy right now.

"Oy, you there," He pointed to the house elf nearest him rather joyfully, "I want some pumpkin juice." All of the cookies had made his throat rather parched, after all. The house elf bowed and went off, presumably to fetch Declan his order.

After he had eaten a half dozen cookies so quickly that he may have inhaled them, he turned to see what Beatrice was up to. She had grown fairly quiet, though he had thought nothing of it. He had been too engrossed with the plateful of cookies to notice anything at all.

The watery eyes and frown on her face confused him.

Rather insensitively, he accused, "Thought you said you weren't gonna cry again." The house elf reappeared with a goblet of his juice. He took it from her without thanks and downed the entire glass. It was incredibly refreshing. He wished he knew how to use the Accio charm better. He could have conjured a bag to start stuffing as much food as possible in and then have one of the school's owls send it to his home.

Declan's voice brought her to reality. Her lips formed a small smile and she bitted the last cookie in her plate. " I'm so sorry, I just remembered my parents", she apologised the boy. Why she should be so emotional? They were dead. She shouldn't care for them. She never met them, she wasn't even sure if they loved her. Beatrice finished eating the cookie.

" I don't know for you, but I'll send some to my family, they will appreciate it", Beatrice added with a smile. Yes, she decided to send food to her family. Even if she never liked them, her aunt was good with her the last year she had to live with them, and her cousins were still her cousins. They need that food. She could eat enough every day, while they had to eat only bread and cheese. Beatrice was so selfish sometimes...

" I never met my parents, they died before I could meet them", Beatrice murmured simply and coldly. They were just too people. She shouldn't cry for them. They did nothing important for her...

"I'll send some," He agreed firmly. When they left the kitchen, he would be certain that he would memorize the way so that he could return whenever he needed to - whenever his family needed him to. It was quite a change in his life, the discovery. He could attend Hogwarts and enjoy himself without having to feel so guilty about not being there to help out his mother care for his sisters.

Her admittance was rather depressing, but he shrugged it off. At least she didn't have to worry about whether or not her father was going to come back for her family and hurt them. Declan had worried about it until Rosa had picked them up and moved them to Hogsmeade. There was no way possible that Max Wood could find them now - the town was protected by enchantments of all kinds.

"'s no excuse. You still said you wouldn't," He said somewhat harshly. This was why he didn't like to hang out with girls. They were cry babies.
