Some of them want to abuse you

Some of them want to be abused

There weren't many days that Scarlett had free. Most of the time she worked hard at Rosa Lee Teabag as a waitress. It wasn't her dream job, but it was a job, until she will finally get what should have been hers in the first place. She hated the fact she was left literally with nothing. A properly raised, pureblood upper class lady like her shouldn't have been subjected to the things Scar was. She was just an innocent teenager when everything was taken away from her. Young woman would probably forgive her uncle taking away all the money, but he did that on the expense of her family. He murdered his own brother to get more than was rightly his. That was unforgivable by Scar's standards. It was a crime, as seen by law, but nobody was able to prove it to him. He did everything he could to cover his tracks and he did it well. Nobody even suspected him of this crime. Thomas was a great actor, he managed to fool the investigators, but he didn't manage to fool his niece. It was almost strange that he didn't tried to get rid of her yet. On the other hand, public humiliation was a much better way to ensure that she will keep her mouth shut.

He was right, ever since she fell to the lower class, the girl couldn't say anything against him, because no one would believe her anyway. She was now from a lower class and he was a wealthy pureblood aristocrat. Nobody would take her word against his. So she had to make him either disappear in some way or trick into confessing in public. Finding an evidence was unfortunately not an option, because if there was anything Scar could be sure of, it was the fact Thomas covered his crimes well enough so there would be no evidence. Oh, if only the life could be a little easier on her! But it wasn't.

A heavy sigh escaped the woman's mouth, as she decided to go on a stroll on the street. If someone looked at her, there was no way of telling that she's a lower class. The way she dressed and moved clearly showed she's been born into money. Not to mention, her figure was the perfect hourglass, something uncommon for lower class. You see, Scar might have lost her social status for now, but she intended to keep acting like a lady should be. If she ever wanted things to go back to the way they were, she knew there will be sacrifices to make along the way and she was ready to make them. No matter what the costs will be, she's going to ensure that at least her brother gets what he deserves. Scar looked at the sky, remembering the past.

Hogsmeade was usually a place to visit when they wanted to buy something, but now she lived and worked there. It was her home, her workplace... Her everything. That was still very much strange for someone who grew up in a castle, like her. Sometimes, during days like this, she would look at the window shields, letting reminiscences about her old life come to her. Like now, she would look at the pretty dresses and imagine she's wearing them. Another sigh escaped her mouth, as she turned her head away, in the direction of someone she didn't yet know.

Benjamin didn't often find himself strolling aimlessly throughout the streets of Hogsmeade. Such behavior for a man of his standing would seem laughable at least, suspicious at worst. Still, he hoped this might perhaps buttress his image as an affable, congenial character in the community. As of late, he has felt ever the more paranoid--but could you blame him? What with that escaped convict roaming around, terrorizing muggle-borns and taking lives, it made a serial killer quite anxious.

On the other hand, Benjamin himself was muggle-born, which pretty much nixed any chance someone might look into his peculiar, lone-star behavior and find something he would much rather keep hidden.

For once in his life, Benjamin was a victim. And it was...strange.

Walking about the streets of Hogsmeade, he felt quite...safe. For the first time in years, he did not feel as though he ought to be walking on tip toe. He was considered to be the prey, not the predator. (Although he highly doubt there was anyone with the murder-savvy to outdo him, but it was still a nice thought.) The sudden sense of community and a common fear amongst the muggle-born demographic made him feel almost human.

Which may have been why when a young woman, too preoccupied with observing dresses in a store window, nearly bulldozed over him in the street, he did not make a scene. In fact, he deftly side-stepped the woman, his lips quirking in an amused smirk. "Whoah, there, miss." Standing beside her then, he braced his hands on her shoulders and gently jerked her back, away from the onslaught of oncoming foot traffic.

A group of bumbling third-year students swept hurriedly by the pair, just as Benjamin pulled the young woman away from their path. After the pre-teens had safely passed, he released his grip on the woman and stepped back, looking a bit sheepish in his own amused way.

"Ought to watch where you're going, Miss." He tipped his bowler to her, his smirk spreading wider across his lips as he gazed down his nose at her. "You were very nearly trampled in that beastly stampede."

Some of them want to be abused

Looking at the shop-window, or rather at a dress she couldn't afford with her current salary, Scarlett thought about her past. Everything seemed so easy then, there was nothing she needed to worry about. Her family was wealthy enough to buy her everything she needed and more. If there was a dress or piece of jewelry Scar liked, she just went to her mother and she ensured that her only daughter will get it. After all, the children of the O'Neill family deserved only what was best, nothing less. Young woman was brought up in luxury, everything she owned was of best quality and thus very expensive. After the murder of her father and later mother, she lost many things, but there was something she never gave up û her dignity and pride. Yes, even though Scar was now a lower class, she was still as proud as she was when she belonged to the upper class cream of society. She was forcefully removed from her safe zone and it angered her, but that was no reason to stop being who she always was. So after work she practiced with her brother the rules of etiquette, she took care that she does not forget the aristocratic accent or how a lady should move.

Scar disciplined herself much harder than any governess in her life had. She didn't settle for anything less than perfection. That's how she was raised and that rule she followed in her life. So the woman worked hard to be the best in everything she did. It was neither easy nor nice, but she kept doing that. It was her only chance to come back to society's good graces and she decided to hold on to it as tightly as she could. If she had to sacrifice something to achieve her goals than so be it.

Those were the thoughts that came through the young woman's head when she was watching the clothes. Oh, how much she wanted to wear one of those again. She must have been terribly lost in her thoughts, because she literally bumped into a stranger. He then pulled her away, causing her to blush slightly. It was years since she was last touched by a man in that way. Not to mention, such a handsome man. She was truly charmed by the way he looked, which wasn't really normal for her. There was something in his eyes... Before she could figure out what it was, he spoke and that brought her back to reality.

"Well than thank you for the rescue and I am very sorry for my unintended clumsiness." Scarlett smiled, looking at the man curiously.

After having released his (borderline inappropriate) grip on the young woman, Benjamin acted as though he was at a loss of what to do with his hands, smoothing down the hem of his jacket as though he were anxious. Of course, these motions were all unnatural to a man who could drag a blade across another man's throat without so much as a quiver of remorse. He had been acting the part of unwittingly charming bachelor for so long his expressions of anxiety or uncertainty were automatic, but not instinctual. Rather, they were carefully rehearsed.

"Of course." Benjamin nodded politely at the young woman again, only slightly perturbed that she had held his gaze for so long. She seemed satisfied, however, with the concept of his normalcy, which relaxed the serial killer's shoulders--slightly. "What sort of gentleman would I be if I were to allow such a dashing young woman to be trampled?"

And dashing, she was. The soft, dark curls of her hair framed wide brown eyes whose gaze he did not dare hold for long. There was only so much he could risk, after all, and he knew that attraction was just another means of control. Women of his day were not given as much political leeway as they deserved, but Benjamin knew they were too sly to allow their intelligence to wither without a fight. The "fairer" sex had more sly means of acquiring power.

"I do think it is only fair, however, that I should know the name of the distressed damsel who I have rescued?" This was followed by a cheeky, lopsided grin, and the realization that perhaps he was not as well equipped to resist the charms of women as he had thought.

Some of them want to be abused

It has been quite some time since Scar was last held or touched by a man, even if it just was to help her. The last time she was touched like that it was when her fiancee was alive. When everything was normal. That terrible accident in which he was killed changed everything. Her mother was chained to bed, unable to move the lower part of her body and Scarlett was supposed to look for a new man to marry. However, her uncle effectively blocked every offer for her hand. Well, she didn't know that for certain, but somehow she was sure he did it. After all, there were many suitors fighting for her hand before she became engaged for the first time, so why would her popularity suddenly disappear? Why would those single men, who previously fought over her hand suddenly back out? It didn't make any sense at all. Scarlett wasn't stupid, she knew her uncle was up to something, but she never had any proof to confirm her words. So she was silent, obeying to her uncle and preying that he will spare her. Scarlett to this day remembers his smirk at the official reading of her mother's will. She knew that she has to expect the worst. Thomas always had this mischievous nature, but the spark she saw in his eyes that day, that hour... It terrified her.

At first, when the family lawyer read that her mother, her beloved mother had left everything to this... monster, the young woman couldn't believe it. She suspected many things, but never, ever would she think that her uncle will dare to falsify the last will of his late wife, the mother of his niece and nephew. Well, she was mistaken. It turned out that Thomas was much more ruthless than she had ever suspected. Not only he dared to change the testimony of Amelie to suit his needs, but also to kick out her children, his family, just to get what he wanted to get. His hunger for power was very dangerous and Scarlett was more than sure that he will do something like that once again. She met many men similar to her uncle during her work as a waitress. Many of them had tried to touch her, but none of them was welcome in that. They were groping her, as if she was some kind of a cheap prostitute.

This man was different. There was nothing... sexual in his touch. He almost seemed uncomfortable with the fact that to save her he had to be so close with her for a moment. At the same time, something in him told her it's not real, as if he didn't feel comfortable with himself. Scarlett was always a keen observer, seeing things that others failed to see. Like her uncle being a double-faced son of a bitch.

Her rescuer.. there was something very different him, but yet something irresistible, something that caused her to look into his eyes for much longer than she should have been, which obviously didn't make him feel comfortable with her. To somehow apologize for that, Scar smiled honestly to him. It wasn't one of her carefully rehearsed smiles the woman learned at work. No, it was a true one. It widened when he said that he would not be a true gentleman if he allowed for such a dashing woman to be trampled. The same words caused her to blush slightly, it was quite some time since she was last called that by someone who didn't want to pick her up or something along those lines.

"Thank you for that complement. You are quite dashing yourself, if I may say so." The woman replied politely. "Damzel's name is Scarlett O'Neill. Will the damzel have the honor of knowing the name of her hero?" She responded to the second part of the question, trying to find his gaze.
