    Mrs. Herbert,

    Spell Damage Healer-in-Charge,

It is with heavy heart that I hand in notice of my resignation from the Spell Damage wing of Hogsmeade Hospital. Your newness to the department might shield your awareness of this, but I have grown exponentially since Mr. Dixon kindly took me on as an intern last year, and it has become quite the second home to me. The skills I have acquired are invaluable, as are the connections I have developed and nurtured.

Nonetheless, as a new wife, I no longer feel comfortable maintaining an occupation. This is neither a reflection of my husband's views nor a commentary on other wives in the workplace, merely the values with which I was raised that I am not quite able to mentally shake. I will try not to allow the time and effort put forth by me and the other healers in the department go to wasteùthe duty of those better off, after all, is charity, and so I will strive to continue to offer my skills to those less fortunate should the opportunity present. I am simply no longer able to do so in a formal capacity.

This marks my month's notice, though with my holiday absence already noted in the diary, my proper last day will be just over two weeks from today, on December 15th of this year.

I thank you for your time and your support during our limited acquaintance,

    Mrs. Felicity Riley
