Appearance: Standing at the lofty height of 5'7 Penny is a very tall girl for the time and when she was younger she had to work very hard not to tend towards ungainliness. Since she was fourteen however her body has been more cooperative and she moves with grace and surety. She has long blonde curls she wears pulled up at all times less she start to look like a doll with her porcelain features and deep brown eyes. She is right handed and has never suffered an injury in her life, leaving her entirely free of scars or other such blights.

History:
1866: Lady Penelope Humphrey-Mavis is born the youngest daughter of the Earl and Countess of Esterwick. Her birth is greeted with the joy that befits the occasion. She carries the courtesy title of Lady like her sisters, due to her father’s position.

1869: Penny’s deliriously happy childhood is interrupted marginally when Frederick goes off to Hogwarts. Still, she rallies. And cries until she gets a new doll.

1872: She exhibits magic for the first time when a small watercolour she utterly bungled made itself nice and neat. She feels terribly clever and immediately shows her parents, enjoying showing off what she can do.

1875: Betsy goes to Hogwarts. Penny is quite pleased. Three down, only one to go in her quest for parental attention domination.

1877: Penny attends Hogwarts and begs the hat to put her in Slytherin. When asked why she wanted Slytherin, she thinks that it’s better to be in the house with a reputation like that, because then at least you’ll get left alone yourself and the hat deems this sneaky and sound and immediately puts her in Ravenclaw. Though she likes her house she can’t help but feel the hat is toying with her every time she sees it afterwards.

1877-1884: In amongst the cocoon of Hogwarts Penny lives a happy and charmed life. She is popular and intelligent – although not overly liked – and has an entirely unremarkable schooling. She enjoys herself thoroughly though and is looking forward to her debut, fairly sure that she will do better than her sisters at any rate!

Personality: Spoilt. Occasionally blinded by her own conviction that she's right. Know-it-all. Superior. Reliable. Warm-hearted to those she's close to. Sometimes petty, sometimes gregarious. Witty. Confident occasionally bordering on arrogance.
