[Persephone Van Helsing]

Persephone inclined her head politely as Miss Chatwyn -- a rather surprising replacement for Miss Sleptova, she thought -- assigned their opponents, and she set down her bag before approaching the younger Miss Sleptova. She wasn’t overly familiar with the girl, despite being in the same year, but Miss Sleptova (being constantly referred to as such because Persephone could not remember her first name) seemed nice enough, and she gave the Ravenclaw a polite smile.

”Would you like to start, or should I?,” she asked, her voice pleasant.

Words: 92 | Outfit: School Robes | Notes: Perhaps we could have a separate thread for the girls and the boys during the next meeting? Just a suggestion, but I thought it would be easier to keep track of. xD

[Octavia Richardson]

Octavia resisted the urge to let off a long suffering sigh as she was placed with Miss Baudelaire. "Your go," she stated without preamble though she did the whole respectful 'bow to your rival' thing.

  

[John Humphrey-Mavis]

"And to you, as well," Jack stated as his hair turned blue. For his next spell, he cast duro, hoping to turn Felix's hand to stone.

  

[Rasmus Mohr]

Nope. Nope nope nope, Rasmus was not going to have buck teeth, not even permanently. "Protego!"

  

[Felix Parkinson I]

As John cast Felix cast his own spell as well which would cause the boys feet to grow. But as soon as Felix's spell was cast his hand suddenly felt heavy he stumbled as its weight was too much for him to hold up.

( I rolled and it was 5, and 5, so draw )

  

[Nickleby Young]

Arch smiled as he remembered the combative spells he had read about in the book he had gotten for his birthday. Young looked not worth his time but he remembered his fathers words and maintained a politely pleasant demeanor. "Whenever you're ready, Mister Young."

He was being made to face a ickle first year? Well then. This would be easy, now wouldn't it? Nick cast a spell that would have the young Mister Lestrange dancing.

  

[Tristan Carmichael]

( Rolled, Tristan: 5 Mohr: 9)

Tristan sighed as he saw that his spell was soundly defeated. It wasn't quite enough to come back at him but it was good enough that his own spell was of no consequence.

"Well... your turn then, unless you want to call it a day on practice. I'm sure we are both going to do fairly well in the tournament !" He mentioned casually

  

[John Humphrey-Mavis]

Jack watched as his shoes broke as his feet grew. "Nice spell," he complimented as he set first his feet to rights. Casting a repair charm on his shoes, Jack then helped Felix set himself to rights. "Shall we take a break? We just did the equivalent of two rounds and a tiebreaker in an actual tournament."

  

[Tristan Michaud]

Henry bowed as well and then readied himself for the duel. Not feeling like being creative yet, he casted protego.

Tristan cast Rictusempra in the hopes of seeing Mister Echelon tickled. Ugh, he was bored already. At least his opponent was easy on the eyes.

  

[Rasmus Mohr]

Rasmus hesitated briefly and ran a hand through the back of his hair. The practice seemed to be puttering out a bit ... "I'm sure we'll do fine," he said with a shrug. He just wanted to head back to his dorm, really, and stop trying to pretend everything was fine. "Next time, then?"

  

[Tristan Carmichael]

"Sounds like a plan" Tristan said agreeing quickly. Practice was good and it helped take the edge off of things but he was in his 6th year now and he doubted that one more round was really going to what swayed his abilities one way or the other.

"Good luck at the tournament then" He said smiling

  

[Felix Parkinson I]

Felix glanced around and noticed that the practice was starting to wind down for the day. He was glad to see that no one seemed seriously injured and that he wouldn't have to set any broken noses or send any one to the Hospital wing. Felix felt as if it looked rather back if at the end of practice half the dueling club ended up needing medical attention, not that it would have been his fault but he was the president after all.

Slipping his pocket watch from his robes he glanced down at the time and then nodded to himself before putting it away again.

" Well done everyone, well done" He announced over the spells being cast to draw every ones attention.

" I think that about wraps it up for the day. I want to wish every one the best of luck at the tournament in the next few days. I expect one of us to at least be the winner! " he declared with a bit of a chuckle

" Ill see you all at the next meeting then! " He said before starting to gather his stuff to leave.
