    Edward Bobbin vs. Tybalt Kirke
    #1
Lafayette preferred spectating duels instead of moderating them, but moderating did allow him closer to the spectacle. He read out the rules and then smirked at the two duelists.

"Mr. Bobbin, if you'd like to go first."

Beater vs. Beater? and a handsome one at that

Edward quickly cast a stunning spell at his opponent.

It was rather funny how often he found himself against other quidditch players in duelling tournaments! Admittedly, at least it wasn't an Auror. In defense, Tybalt tried for Fumos, a smokescreen spell that might disrupt Bobbin's aim.

The smokescreen worked wonderfully to mislead Mr. Bobbin's aim, in fact, his aim was so terrible that it hit something that caused it to bounce back upon its caster. Consequently, Edward Bobbin inadvertently stunned himself. Lafayette thought it highly amusing, and certainly a case against the magical ability of athletes. At least most were handsome and in shape. He cleared the smokescreen.

"Mr. Kirke wins the first round and may start the next when he's ready."

[Scores: Edward 4, Tybalt 5] +6 for injury

Damn. Ted moved to disarm his opponent to avoid a repeat embarrassment.

Tybalt was honestly surprised with how fortunately that had turned out. How Bobbin's own spell had managed to rebound upon him - well, he'd take it.

His opponent seemed eager to move on into the second round, and if he was jumping the gun, then Tyb would have to think fast. The first thing that sprung to mind, he attempted the Antler Hex.

It really wasn't a good day for Mr. Bobbin, perhaps his earlier slip had unsettled him? Or had his rebounding stunner addled his brain more than it seemed? "Mr. Bobbin forfeits the duel for casting out of turn. Congratulations, Mr. Kirke!" It wasn't the most impressive way to win a duel, but a win was a win.
